    Except that it’s not.

    And it's funny! ?
  3. So they could build a 30-story tower on the remaining lot and still have views of the river front for half of the floors obviously.

"Hey guys wanna go to the football club game tonight?" That's essentially what I hear when I hear someone refer to the team as 'FC'. People are using it as a nickname like "The Bengals" when it isn't really meant to be used that way. As someone who has been closely involved with soccer for a long time, hearing someone refer to their team as 'FC' when their team's name is XYZCity FC is just humorous for me because nobody does that. Liverpool FC is not 'FC', they are Liverpoorl. Everton FC are not 'FC', they are Everton. FC Barcelona are not 'FC', they are Barcelona or Barca. AC Milan are not 'AC', they are Milan. AS Roma are not 'AS', they are Roma. AFC Bournemouth are not 'AFC', they are Bournemouth.

I have to say, it's hilarious how people in Cincinnati are now referring to the team as 'FC'.
  6. CVG still has more space even with the removal of Concourse C.
  7. I thought it was 7-stories. Not that that makes it any better.

  9. I wonder if we might be hearing some more details about this redevelopment soon. An engineering/site plan application was just filed for “15 multi-use buildings and 3 associated parking decks in place of existing Sears”. This sounds like a huge project. It will be interesting to see what their plan is. https://portal.columbus.gov/permits/
  10. July stats are out. Passenger growth continues at a fairly steady rate of 6.4% YTD, meaning our rate of growth is about the same we experienced January through July of last year. CMH has logged 4,989,320 passengers through July compared to the 4,690,005 passengers through July of last year. LCK has logged 202,968 passengers compared to 205,189 last year. Combined, the two airports have logged 5,192,288 through July this year. It’s looking like we have a pretty good chance of breaking 9M passengers for the year. I wonder how much more growth the current airport can handle. Both CVG and CLE can obviously handle a lot of growth from where they currently are today given that they both used to be 15-20M passenger hubs, but CMH is moving into uncharted territory. The next few years should be interesting. https://flycolumbus.com/flights/airline-stats
  11. I have spoken with a lot of people who believe there is a good chance Wexner was much more than an innocent bystander who was duped by Epstein. I personally lean toward that opinion as well. However, keep in mind that the vast majority of people are likely unaware that Wexner and Epstein are connected, are generally unaware of much of Epstein's story other than it was a big deal that he "committed suicide" a couple weeks ago. Anyway....this is probably a topic for a current events thread.
  12. I haven't been inside yet, but it looks pretty cool from above!

  14. They need to move those timelines up a bit to appease my lack of patience.

  16. I wish the building could have been saved, but I'm so excited about the project overall that it doesn't bother me too much. I'm excited to see the architecture of the stadium and the surroundings buildings. Apparently the team has a pretty bold stadium design that doesn't look much like anything else in the Arena District which Nationwide is a bit hesitant about. It will be interesting to see if Nationwide budges and let's them do something different.
  17. That is looking really nice! Can't wait to see the finished product.
  18. Columbus is slightly higher than Cincinnati? That's a bit surprising. What about Cuyahoga and Hamilton counties?
  19. ^ That's an awesome picture. Here's a few other pretty cool pictures I've seen floating around.
  20. I'm so excited for next year's games already. Unfortunately I had to miss the game in Columbus, but I'm so happy I was able to go down to Cincy yesterday. Hopefully next year we aren't two of the worst teams in the league. When something is actually on the line, the games are going to be insane.
  21. Crew fans (myself included) had a great time in the college football stadium yesterday.
  22. Have you seen football players fight? They push each other's facemasks, act tough, and then scamper back to their sidelines. Give me a break. If you throw a punch, you get a straight red (automatic one game suspension) and likely additional suspensions/fines. The players aren't stupid.
