Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
Nothing against the CLE team, but I highly doubt Virgin Atlantic will add service to Cleveland without more robust Delta service. They would be more likely to enter CVG before CLE just because there is more connections and flight offerings to facilitate Virgin Atlantic via Delta. If CLE doesn't go after a European Star Alliance airline they should at least tempt Icelandic again since they are adding new routes once they receive new aircraft. Although 737max isn't a sexy flight.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Development and News
Happy to see this building being taken care of now. We worked with the developers out of Texas to convert this into the Canopy by Hilton, they didn't know what they got themselves into with this amazing building

Cincinnati: Avondale: Development and News
Failure as a developer and blaming all his failures on city hall. Sorry but have worked with him, big mistake. Never prepared always big ideas, never ready to actually execute.

Cincinnati: Madisonville: Development and News
Id say based off this, madison bowl if purchased is going away. Existing owners must be looking to sell/retire.

Cincinnati City Council Corruption
Cincinnati Park Board selected a new director, Jason Barron, 38, is executive director of Red Bike. Do we want to start a betting pool on how long he last? Seems that this position has been a merry go round of individuals the past couple years. Each being paid off to leave and not talk about there employment with the park board...

Columbus: Downtown: Hilton Columbus Downtown Tower II
The second pic perspective is a different view I havent seen. I like the tower and the facade of the tower, but what is going on with the base? One too many different angles, pitches. Maybe its me but feels like the base design is fighting itself and too many design ideas were not filtered out, where the tower feels refined.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Development and News
My understanding is the developers for Liberty and Elm are in the marketplace trying to find a buyer to sell the land and walk away. I have heard that from two separate people with inside knowledge. Danny Klinger got his way again it looks like.

I have yet to see that one on my Houston business travels, but good god thats fugly. Talking about ho hum tower design, then get to the hat, and holy sh*t what landed on the building.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
I need to dig it up, its about five years old now, but we did a study where the OTR area could easily absorb 400-500 keys in the area, thinking you could do smaller brand boutique properties at about 100-150 rooms per property and they all wouldn't be right next to each other.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Casino hotel is happening no matter what, but this would be that hotel where people don't want to stay on the casino property but like the attractiveness of being walking distance if they want to gamble or see a show.

Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport
If he talked with Mayor Daley, then expect the runway to be torn up in the middle of the night and become obsolete and permanently shut down.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Based off the rumor tree at least 200+ room property just north of TQL Stadium in the Lindner development is happening. Shame the hotel on Central that Luminaut was working on has hit so many bumps. With the Davis Furniture building coming down there is perfect spot for a hotel, in OTR, on the streetcar route, near the casino and CBD.

Cincinnati: Retail News
They need to tear down the old tri-level McAlpins. It's an old relic that smells like mold constantly. It's a real shame to lose this Saks going to be difficult to redevelop since the Hyatt Ballroom is above the store
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: Development and News
Losing Saks is going to be a logistical nightmare. Alot of people don't realize the main ballroom for the Hyatt is directly above Saks. Can't easily remove the Saks box and redevelop the corner. Man this just makes the whole area of downtown less and less interesting. 3CDC better get there butts in gear for this new convention center district.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
Its amazing how much development is up and down High Street in Columbus. The new Hilton expansion will be very nice addition to the skyline. It be nice if we could get some Columbus based developers in Cincinnati. Crawford Hoying is now working in CUF but we need them downtown to help create energy that, North American, Towne, and even 3CDC cant muster with new developments.

Cincinnati: CUF / Corryville: Development and News
Based on the latest plan and design, the developers couldnt purchase the Hillel House surface lot. Shame that we are going for a new mixed use dense development and will have this 10-20 space surface lot right in the middle.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
Millennium was in such disrepair, and the existing ownership was unwilling to make any improvements. As much as it sucks, the city/county/port needed to get them out of there. I am not sure if it would have been cost prohibitive to renovate the millennium i know i have been on two exploratory groups in the property prior to demolition discussion. Low ceilings in the south building, and tight spaces in the north building. We just need to get our asses in gear and get another property started or ground broken. Between this hotel debacle and the county commissioners bitching about cost upgrades for FIFA its no wonder they moved on past us. World cup doesnt just happen every 4 or 8 years for a city. Its a rare hosting occurrence where you roll out the red carpet.

Cincinnati: Clifton: Development and News
This should go under the CUF Corryville page. The development is technically not in Clifton

Springdale: City Center Springdale
The more and more I hear about this capital group/development team. Starting to really think this is going to flop hard. Things are starting to come out of the woodwork through the architecture and engineering side of the world about them... Hopefully they have changed course but the track record doesnt sound good.

Covington, KY: Central Riverfront (IRS) Development
Having lived there 6 years, that is exactly where my mind goes to.
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I don't disagree, I just think the Banks has been so drawn out and contentious for so many decades, that now people are just building something to get it built out. The whole project is primarily been phoned in design wise.

Covington, KY: Central Riverfront (IRS) Development
In a weird way, it would be cool if they made it a public square. Its at the intersection of where 3rd and Russell would meet. Why not make an interesting node at the point of intersection.

Hey UO Cincinnati folks did the old Davis furniture building store at Main and 12th partially collapse? Hearing rumbling of building failure. Seeing if anyone is in the area. Update: The Davis Building did have a partial collapse along the south wall
