  1. Looks like Cleveland and Cincinnati both went for younger leadership in mayor races. We are excited for Aftab in Cincinnati, hopefully Bibb can be energy needed in Cleveland.
  2. I think the old blue bloods in the city wont have as much say anymore at city or council now that there boy Cranley is gone. Worked with so many outside developers that have said for years Cincinnati is not friendly to outside development dollars, Cranely favored the local boys.
  3. Jeffrey Anderson group will be doing there own concept restaurant called "Filson Queen City Kitchen and Bar" that's a fricken mouth full. https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2021/08/26/new-restaurant-to-be-built-at-the-banks.html
  4. New crane going up at the ovation project...
  5. Alot more pleasant than what I dealt with at Board of Elections in Norwood on Sunday. You would have thought it was a presidential election year, the were louder and nastier this year...
  6. Hell we cant even get a new hotel planned, designed, and prepped for funding and approvals from the (port, city, county, cvb) you think they would actually be smart and forth coming like this?
  7. Delta still hasnt brought back SLC to CMH? Wow that tells me load factors must have been bad pre-covid...
  8. Knew it was coming glad to see someone in this town getting there butts in gear maybe they could develop the convention hotel...
  9. Historically in the Midwest, they will add a second flight daily to SEA, similar to Columbus, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, sh*ttsburgh and Cincinnati. Chicago is the only exception to this though but understandably with the population size and service offerings in ORD. New markets to fly are rare for them to add, possible but keep expectations low.
  10. Such a shame they chose ass backward Mason, oh well I will still drive to Springboro. Refuse to spend money in Mason.
  11. 16 floors is still a nice tower on top of the four story podium. That is equivalent to the newer Enquirer building on Elm and Third.
  12. 5/3 sold the air rights to 3CDC a couple years back.
  13. Ownership hasn't changed but was told that there were issues with IHG in making this a Kimpton property. I think they have gone a different direction but delayed the project and they had to let the credits expire.
  14. Fantastic to see the Traction Building apply for credits, hopefully the developer in Chattanooga can land them and get started on restoring the building. Such a prominent location downtown with fencing around it going to waste.
  15. I know that Amazon isnt doing international flights yet from CVG. DHL doesnt service or fly into any major airports in France. With the GE Safran cooperation agreement for aviation, it has always made since to put cargo on the direct route. If DHL were to add a flight from CVG to CDG or Orly, I could see the cargo changing over. Until then it makes since to try and get the CDG flight back for GE to transport product to Safran and Airbus easier.
  16. Last I heard was the city was working on getting bids for the asbestos abatement. Its the first step in the demolition process of the old building. Gotta get all the asbestos out before it can come down.
  17. Looks like the Paris flight might get pushed back again. Delta announced yesterday that the RDU to CDG flight has been pushed from March to August 2022 now. Only saving grace would be the amount of cargo between CVG and CDG that Delta wouldnt push it back. Its primarily the only reason there is a 767-3 at the moment daily between ATL and CVG. All the cargo coming in from CDG.
  18. Wish it was bigger, but something to help energize a dead intersection.
  19. Its a cool design but dont you worry Margy and her crazy crew will kill this project
  20. Agree, but I have a gut feeling that some VE has happened on this project as of lately, and its not going to be as great as we all hoped it was going to be...
  21. Progress photo, new glazing installed, looks like they arent refacing the vertical stone pilasters. Was hoping for more, but its coming up really flat for the redevelopment of this building.
  22. North Tower is almost equal to the South Tower. Demolition finally moving quicker. It would be nice if the Port, City and County would get there sh*t together on the future of the convention hotel.
  23. Not the best image, but good overview of the progress. Office building is topped out, they will start erecting the hotel behind it next, so they dont have to take down the crane. They been coring for awhile now for he new parking garage pad. Shame the smaller buildings will be built first along the river and not the taller/larger buildings.
  24. Arches were cool, but i am willing to trade that for new life and activity at this building and surrounding area. I wish the empty lot to the east of Molly Malones would be developed next.
  25. Millennium Hotel aka Stouffers Hotel, was not salvageable. Out of country ownership ran the property into the ground. Sad to see a tall building taken down, but hopeful for a new convention hotel tower in the future. All rumors are for Hilton Signia.
