Cincinnati: Potential New Arena
Totally agree with you, if the NBA was sold on Louisville it would have already happened when they built the Yum Center almost 15 years ago...

Do you mean Shillito's building and not Nordstrom?

Cincinnati: BLINK | A Festival of Light & Art
I am curious what others thought of Blink this year. I have attended each year since Luminosity, but for some reason this year felt flat or phoned into me. Many of the projections didn't seem as polished as they were in the past and definitely overheard a lot of people say, "it looks like a desktop screensaver". There were a couple of interesting pieces but i definitely think years prior were much better...

Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
The fact that it's gone way to quiet and they have not broken ground makes me wonder what happened with Portman the Developer and the County Commissioners. The Convention Center is currently closed and under renovation this ideally would have been perfect timing to start the hotel construction...

Can't wait for the new residents to complain about the firehouse sirens... Just like people who move near Lunken complain.

Only underwriting/subsidies CVG has done was for BA to bring the LHR route and it's written so that if load capacity falls below a certain number CVG pays out. Well those load factors have stayed above the minimums, so it's been a major win for CVG. DLs CDG flight is not subsidized it's profitable because of GE Aviation, Airbus, (cargo) and P&G. The YYZ flight on AC is not subsidized again heavily utilized by P&G and other business travel.

Contractors, power washed, cleaned and prepped the panels prior to installing the new signage. Just imagine if Kroger did the entire building. It would look a lot better than it does now.

Cincinnati/NKY International Airport
Its a shame that they are removing the Denver flight for another Fort Lauderdale flight. I would be ok if they would have added Miami but i guess there is just a ton of cruise ship folks in Cincinnati. Delta did announce that Summer of 2025 and going forward there would be a third flight to SLC daily.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
Cleveland deserve good leadership such a large region and the airport does not reflect that currently. We are nervous in Cincinnati, CVG is losing are ball busting airport director next year. Candace might look like a sweet church lady, but she has turned our airport around after Delta skipped town. With Cargo up, Amazon Prime selecting CVG as HQ for Prime Air. New Service to LHR from BA. Continued service to CDG from DL. Air Canda bringing in Montreal. Newer service from Alaska, Breeze, SW, and more routes/destinations from Frontier, Allegiant, and American. I just hope we dont lose the momentum with new leadership...

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati
Oktoberfest on the park was fantastic this weekend. The trees made a huge difference, shocker! I think the only compliant we had going two days, one with adults and one with kids. They need to separate out the soda/water sales from the beer vendors. Standing 40 people deep to get water/soda for kids is insane. There were also some def. dark spots in the park that could have used some additional rental lighting poles. Other than that small kinks to easily be worked out.

Cincinnati: West End: Development and News
Licensing agreements have mileage boundaries, hotel chains legally can't sell another brand/flag within a certain distance. So any brand in the Cincinnati nky basin especially higher end and full service brands won't have a duplicate in the general area hurting business of the original property...

Cincinnati: West End: Development and News
It isn't a Hilton brand at least for time being... Every Marriott flag is taken in the city except W and some of the higher end full service brands. Could be a true boutique or possibly Hyatt Independent portfolio.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fourth & Walnut Center
Your statement is right on the nose. Newcrest was a nightmare to work with pre-covid. Such a beautiful building and they just messed up every step of the way.

Cincinnati: Random Development and News
It's rumor. If anything the Chavez family is making the lot more expensive, putting a parking lot to make "money", for Hard Rock to buy if they want later down the road...

Cincinnati/NKY International Airport
Honestly surprised it didn't come sooner considering the amount of Tri-State residents live in and around the Sarasota- Long Boat Key Area. I can see a number of people taking this to avoid the flight into TPA or PIE and then driving across the bay south. Also talk about crazy Frontier deciding on bases at CVG and CLE. CVG keeps getting new flights and CLE keeps losing them. I guess Akron is enough competition to hurt traffic at CLE..

Plus they have lost both hospitality flags that were originally designated for this site. So who knows what the plans will be for this building.

Factory 52 feels like a Hotel Indigo style property, can't see intercontinental going in 52.

Can't go into detail but Hilton is not in the mix at all for the property. Unless there is a Hail Mary deal come through it won't be via Hilton.

Hurts my soul considering the amount of evenings I worked late with my team on the corporate office remodel of Macy's. Glad though it's being converted into another use, just crazy since that was all renovated by 2018-2019...
