  1. What works in Middletown, might now work in OTR though... Completely different demographics.
  2. The employee drop off area just south of the casino building and parking garage. over 50% of the rooms would have city views that wouldnt be blocked. The tower can be directly connect to the casino building and the existing parking garage. Plus the property can easily connect to the second floor where the new music performance space will be located.
  3. Hard Rock looked into the partnerships Dan Gilbert had originally put in place with local hotels, when it was Jack. They are keeping them in place for the time being, but internally they want a hotel on property to keep high rollers on property spending money in the hotel, spa, restaurants, etc. They have been looking at three different options for a hotel tower, location, size, and amenities.
  4. Just an update of the demo work at Western Southern HQ.
  5. I was right. Delta announced yesterday that Austin is now coming back in September to fend off American
  6. Delta will probably move it up, American has been going into cities where Delta has been slow to reintroduce service. Delta either wakes up or they lose business. Case in point in Columbus they put a pause on Boston. American introduced new service to Boston from Columbus, and bam Delta brought back the flight.
  7. I just find it odd that Columbus has the rental cars right in the parking garage by the terminal (amazing location) and instead is moving it out past the hotels and mcdonalds (bad location). Now that they are struggling to find long term parking bus drivers they will need to do the same for rental car facility buses. Eliminating the shuttle buses is a huge logistical situation with building these facilities within walking distance to the terminals.
  8. Newport on the levee had different storefronts on the riverwalk promenade when it first opened. Newport was designed, developed and constructed by Steiner who also developed Easton. Steiner just never invested enough in Newport to see it through like they did Easton, The Greene or Zona Rosa projects.
  9. Honestly, I cant wait for CVG new rental car facility to open. I wont have to use it, but the fact that you will grab your bags, take the skywalk next door to the new parking garage, grab a vehicle and leave will be a game changer. No more waiting for buses to drive you to the facility and back.
  10. It didn't sell, and they owe a number of firms locally, money on all the work that was produced to turn it into a viable dual brand hilton property with parking garage.
  11. Yes next to the aquarium, use to be just an IMAX theatre when Newport OTL opened.
  12. Unless Harley Guys are rocking vineyard vines and boat shoes now i doubt it...
  13. Ha! the residence in Bridge Park have been complaining about major issues for months. For the first time in weeks, I saw Dublin Police Officer driving to the top of the parking garages to stop the ongoing drug deals that keep happening. Crawford Hoying need a security team in place, there are a number of residence that are getting annoyed with the lack of security or responsiveness for what people pay in rent.
  14. So with the DORA district officially started in Dublin, couple observations. Wow what a total sh*t show, who would have guessed middle aged adults acting like idiots. Signage and stickers everywhere that state, do not cross area with open container. I don't believe people can read in Dublin, or they are already messed up that reading and comprehension becomes difficult. Saw people on the bridge drinking and then tossing plastic cups into the river. Thats classy! Then you have situations where people are enjoying a nice meal or drinks at the bars in the restaurants in the area and people just push there way passed to get DORA drink menus so they can keep drinking outside. DORA districts can be beneficial but right now its amateur hour in Dublin. Lets see how bad it gets for the PGA tournament!
  15. The Nashville BBQ place cancelled plans to expand into the Cincinnati Market. With this new park being built where the ferris wheel was suppose to go, i question if the restaurant pad will remain or disappear. Also there was conversation awhile back about Doc Crows opening up in the base of the Underground Railroad Museum, but that seemed to fade into the background.
  16. That takes me back, I remember on special occasions we would either eat at the top of the Radisson or the Stouffers. Both were revolving restaurants, we kids liked the stouffers because we could get mac and cheese.
  17. Goodbye Stouffers Hotel and Restaurant! You were a shining diamond back in the day. Your time has come to a close. Thanks Millennium Copthorne Group, not.
  18. Delta is showing 3x daily back to Boston on 717 aircraft. American Eagle will be using the Embraer 175. They have yet to load the flight into the system. But show 3x daily as well.
  19. I am ok if LAX doesnt come back. SLC works for me, brand new terminal and a great middle ground to anywhere on the west coast. LAX is a hot mess with the construction on going and connection flights are limited domestically.
  20. I really wish Delta would bring back SLC flight. Its been a real struggle since relocating to Columbus from Cincinnati, losing the amount of Delta service i grew accustomed to over the years. Getting out West on Delta has been hard without SLC at the moment.
  21. I get the load factors and demands for Hilton Head and Charleston out of Cincinnati. Pensacola just gets people to Florida, which is appealing to many. I dont see there being a huge demand for Maine. Maybe I am wrong I just dont see many folks from the Tri-state flocking to Maine to fill planes three times a week.
  22. It is the special aggregate mix created at the plant for runways. Special size stone ratio to tar/oil binding agents.
  23. Koch development pulled out no ferris wheel now in Newport. But all the hardscapes look good
  24. There were proposals to do something similar along this area. However cost have always been a major factor for not doing it. Plus the additional approvals from the Army Corp of Engineers
