  1. I am not surprised by this. The new ownership group from Atlanta, didn't really care for this urban location. They received an incentive by the Carew tower ownership and real estate group. My understanding was the build out was covered by the building. Shame it was a nice addition to downtown again.
  2. Group of us ate at the one in West Chester. Amongst the group I wouldn't say we are food snobs but we all looked at each other after dinner and were like this wasn't good at all. Nothing tasted bad but nothing stood out as memorable or oh man I gotta eat that again.
  3. Little bit of sh*ttsburgh in the heart of the city. ??‍♂️
  4. Use to be the old downtown Kroger
  5. It's called the "Standard Covington" they have social media pages set up. They paused the opening with covid ongoing but we're planning to open up soon.
  6. Owner is allowing tenants to stay out there leases, instead of moving them out early. With the down economy the hotel conversion project is on hold until further notice.
  7. Value engineering at it's finest. Can't tell you how many times I just want to walk away from projects when a clients lender starts suggesting EIFS and hardy board for the exterior or a project instead of brick or stone products
  8. Once the old stage is removed, I think it will help the sight lines of the fountain from the street, at least from Vine and Fifth.
  9. Well you all are very lucky then. I am back flying for the next couple months for work, and to the covid hot spots of Florida (Orlando and Miami). Makes me uneasy, but work wont allow me to drive from Cincinnati to Florida. So i will be masking and wearing sunglasses in the plane and hoping i do not catch anything while on job site or traveling by plane.
  10. I think the rats are fleeing the ship before it takes on water. It's just odd how many city managers we have gone through the past seven years
  11. I have heard similar rumors that Senate will not reopen the OTR location and will just keep Blue Trash location open.
  12. I was 6 years old and I remember my dad took me to the demo of Sanders Hall. It was a big building. The demo went terribly wrong though because I remember my dad snatching me up and we ran down Ohio toward Bellevue Park. The dust and debris field was massive and people weren't far enough back.
  13. North American Development ran out of funds that was the major reason for this temporary addition to the Levee and not the original proposed new building. I think they got in over there head...
  14. When it was federated department stores the building never had a corporate name on it. Just rip Macy's off and let's start moving on.
  15. Somewhere south of Inwood Park. Sanders Hall in background.
  16. Nah when you have a small d*ck, you tend to act like a huge d*ck. Cranley in a nutshell...
  17. Not a fan of Don Pablo's but always appreciated the building. Last thing I heard the new owners of Rookwood were thinking about tearing the building down. Hope the stack will remain.
  18. Hahaha you don't know Cincinnatians. If you have to make multiple turns down a couple different streets then people tend to be turned off by traveling there. They want easy not hard access.
  19. Yeah but to Corporex, that is developed! They are slime balls. The only reason they went out to Denver, was because no one locally wanted to work with them anymore. The cheapskate crap they use to pull on architects, engineers, and contractors. This Ovation site would be better developed by someone else. Ovation should be renamed Fort Newport, The whole site is off the street grid and up in the air two stories.
  20. If there was a feasible way, add onto the railroad bridge to connect US Playing Card to Kenner site.
  21. This development is too far off the main drag, Montgomery and Norwood Lateral to be successful. Who wants to drive that far off the interstate to stay at the hotel, eat at restaurant, or shop at store? We are a very car centric city still. I guess it might be successful with the constant changes in Norwood, but seems like someone didnt do their homework.
  22. Glad its the solid navy blue and not the multi-color blue or orange seats. Reminds me of the Arena seating before the remodel to become the Crown aka Hertiage Bank Center. The multiple colored seats just looks like the seat was broken and replaced with an off color seat instead.
  23. Looks like the courier did more digging the Martin BBQ chain has decided against the Cincinnati expansion. So back to square one again...
  24. Agree I like that there is another entertainment venue at the Banks to bring more users, but the Newport Facility is going to be alot bigger and more flexible to host a number of different acts. The one at the banks looks very small now compared to Newport.
