  1. Kitty's opened at 4th and Elm yesterday. Much needed for our side of the city.
  2. Millennium is in rough shape yes, but its not worse than the Crowne Plaza in Dayton. The Crowne Plaza is really old building with a ton of issues, it just has a veneer of lipstick on the interior at the moment.
  3. For those who keep asking to see the photos and renderings.
  4. Western Southern/Eagle Realty had the historic district lines relocated a couple years ago. Not sure if they removed the border on this block.
  5. Thought about that and then remember my bitchy old neighbors in Mount Adams will raise such a big stink it will never happen
  6. Don't disagree they are lame, but they drive traffic still with the suburban, baby boomer crowd. They have done an excellent job as a casino, resort operator with a unique brand though.
  7. Demolition, would be strip the building down to bare bones, and then wrecking ball very carefully. North Tower is so close to Elm and Sixth, so both streets would be closed. The south tower, big issue is the 84.51 building.
  8. That was when CVG started discussing Concourse D planning and construction. Once the merger happened, D was dead from the start.
  9. Its hard to say, we lost corporations, because of the lack of service. However, Delta has lowered there prices and brought bigger aircraft for routes. Still not having the large amount of direct flights makes it a longer travel day for people like myself who travel weekly. Its like a 50/50 roll of the dice, wish we had more service, but my clients like the cheaper ticket prices. I still refuse to fly frontier or allegiant, but those airlines are not meant to cater to business travelers.
  10. When it was number #2 hub in Deltas system, A, B, AND C use to be buzzing. When the flights were all synchronized to fly in at similar hours, man the concourses and trains were packed. Had a ton of energy. People packing the buses back and forth between C. The lower end gates of B basically being the gateway to Europe. Those were some great times at CVG.
  11. Every west coast red-eye flight I have been on the past couple months with Delta, has been near capacity or oversold. (SEA, LAX, SFO, AND LAS) Of the ten flights there was only one that was a half empty flight back from SFO on a Wednesday red-eye
  12. Thanks for this, whew its a tight squeeze. Never realized how lucky we were at CVG with all the space.
  13. You do a single, double loaded corridor. You can easily do 40-50 rooms per floor. That includes stairwells at both ends with elevator core in center. You don't have to do a ton of public spaces since your guests will dine, congregate and be in the casino portion of the property. You will need a lobby, gym, probably a small bar with food service, and since it's Hard Rock there will be a spa on another floor. The location is ideal, no one is to the south of them so 50% of the rooms will have city views...
  14. You are correct sir. This is the area I mentioned earlier in the tread, where the hotel tower will go. Hard Rock isn't buying up anymore land, they will use the land that is available for the hotel tower.
  15. Does this even fit? I am not an expert, but looking at this layout i would assume they would also need to take out existing taxiways of the 10R/28L runway, to accommodate this terminal design.
  16. It's still based on if the purchase is approved by all parties and the state. Hard Rock has big plans but it's all planning stages til final ownership hands off
  17. So I am late to the game, but travelers are still going to board a bus of some type and ride it from main terminal building to the car rental facility? I know land is tight at CMH and with the location of existing hotels it makes it harder to connect the two. Kinda sucks design wise, I guess it is what it is though. Glad the one at CVG will be direct connected to main terminal, do away with the need of Rental car buses altogether.
  18. Rumors are definitely true. Proposed Hard Rock Hotel and a new Hard Rock Cafe in the old Jimmy Buffet restaurant location. I have been told the hotel would squeeze in the area where the turn around drop off loop is south of the casino and parking garage (North of Court Street).
  19. Steiner development project across from Washington Park. Had potential to be a great looking building til NIMBY and OTRCC got heavily involved in trying to destroy it into another faux historic building
  20. Sherwin Williams wouldnt move to another city in the state. All they would gain is city and maybe county tax incentives. If they are going to move their HQ it will be to a different state to gain bigger state tax incentives. I see Sherwin Williams using this as a tool to get the state and city to offer new incentives to stay in Cleveland all together.
  21. Most building departments wouldn't allow a major construction project to happen directly above current occupant area.
  22. Ballet is moving to Baldwin site. So only a matter of time before the Ballet building is torn down for additional development.
  23. They would go great where the old Taco Bell was on Montgomery Rd was located before they closed that location
  24. I see brands for the convention hotel either still being Hilton Signia, Omni, Lowes, or Intercontinental. I find it very hard to believe Sheraton or JW will show up.
