Cincinnati: Downtown: Fourth & Race (Pogue Garage) Redevelopment
Saks is in conversation with Brookfield about moving to Kenwood Towne Center. Its ongoing early conversation of a smaller two story store to be placed where the older parking garage is located along the Nordstrom Wing. With Tiffanys, Louis Vuitton, and now Gucci opening in Kenwood, just makes the right fit. The real issue though if Saks leaves it creates a weird situation since the main ballroom for Hyatt sits above Saks store now.

Closes at noon everyday and plays the national anthem. I am all for my country, but this comes off really creepy as a concept. Will def. do well in red states for sure.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
That would be great for CLE to get Aer Lingus service. Makes alot of us CVG users jealous. Starting to think our airport board has gotten comfortable with the new domestic service and carriers and arent as hungry for more. Since WOW is no more it would be nice to try and gain intl service beyond CDG for our airport.

Cincinnati: Mt. Adams: Development and News
If you talk to alot of the older residence on Mount Adams, during the 60's there were many artist and flower children living in the area and made it more bohemian and hip. With the Art Academy and the Park it added to the desire for the creative culture to thrive in the area.

Would you propose flood walls to be built along Pete Rose way? To prevent major flooding, 96 the river was in the old Children's Museum when it use to be located at Longworth Hall.

They would rather have a derelict building with graffiti over it now. City is just going to let developers walk out of town and never come back...

Monks Cove is up for sale, but still operating. The douchey crowd isnt there anymore so its mostly dead, only time they get a slight crowd is events and weddings that come from the Monastery Event center.

Cincinnati: Mt. Adams: Development and News
As a younger resident of Mount Adams, and one that participates and attends the Community Council meetings monthly, there is a major problem among the majority of my neighbors. They are 55 and older, majority of them are self made and have considerable net worth. However they continuously think that they should open like six different white table cloth restaurants along St. Gregory. I have heard them time and time again shouting how about... fine dining, restaurants with live music, restaurants with raw bar. It just wont happen, because the residents don't frequent the existing establishments enough now for them to be successful. Plus parking will always be a sore spot in the neighborhood bringing non-residents up to the area. Brief food history, The Celestial was a dump, in the end that killed itself, Rookwood, closed because the rent was way out of control, and maintenance was poorly attended too. Teak closed because of poor ownership. Daveed's, made a second go of it and couldn't get the business to keep them profitable. Tavern on the Hill, had excellent bar food but couldn't capture the business of the neighbor on non weekend hours. The Wine Bar, with food closed never could get the business in the door, Quincy's is now located there. Longworth's, use to have a decent food menu. Chapter, has really scaled back food menu as well. Pavilion, has bar food, but never been impressed with food to service in the bar. Mt. Adams Bar and Grill is truly the only restaurant left in Mount Adams and it does a decent business and the food is alright but nothing to tell your work colleagues or family members. Bow Tie cafe is basically a coffee house with some minor food offers, but again you rarely see many people in there as well, they did a remodel to attract more business but traffic is slow.

Northern Kentucky: Random Development and News
I can attest that the majority involved in the grass roots movement against Ashley did not have I'll will against renters, Butch Callery and Ashley development twisted the story that way to come off as good guys. The group was upset with the shady political practices going on during the voting and decision making. Majority of the old council would have made profits with there jobs outside of council if the new development went through accordingly. I will say that there is a snappy tomato and a coffee shop going in next to Ameristop on Amsterdam.

Sorry but i am all for higher density when the area is designed for the density. However Villa Hills would not be able to handle the higher car amounts with the current infrastructure. When ole Butch was mayor he wanted the city to take out major bonds to increase roads and intersections. Something many residence did not want to foot a bill for the benefit of Ashley developers. If this was more urban location, had adequate bus routes and walkable areas to basic needs I would have been all for the high density apartment building. Glad the grass roots movement was able to prevail after crooked council and mayor who created this nightmare have all been voted out as well.

No its going where Tiger Dumplings was suppose to go between Tervis and Jefferson Social. Burger Fi isnt going anywhere.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Ah perfect size for the Banks, especially when the majority of your week your dead down there. Why have a huge space and a ton of overhead that only your weekend numbers can keep afloat. This will be a nice addition next to the Tervis store, which i am surprised is still in business at the banks.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Music Hall
This is Budig sitting on the board advising the rest of them to stick it to FCC and the Lindners for what they are trying to do with the Cincinnati Ballet and surrounding area. One blue blood is angry at another blue blood.
-
Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Music Hall
Everyone is reading between the lines right? This is a rich man squabble. Otto Budig is pissed at the Lindner Boys and he's doing all he can behind the scenes to make their lives miserable. From the whole ballet building situation, to now music Hall that he sits on the board and helped renovate. Otto is a thorn in their sides til he drops dead...

Cranley is only doing this now because of Batsakes space. Yes, its an institution in this city, but fact of the matter is the mayor was inconvenienced from getting his weekly shoe shine and that is why he is showing he has a spine again. At the end of the day none of his players want the Terrace Plaza. If 3CDC or North American wanted the building, you better believe he would have acted harshly when the sale of the building debacle happened last summer.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Development and News
Exactly the current administration is playing the whole, "pay to play" scenario and becoming hostile toward out of town money. This is a reason why our city will continue to he outpaced by cities like Nashville and Columbus. We continue to only look inward and not outward. Our ideas are small not big. That conservative idealogy is strangling the big potential that could be downtown.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Development and News
No Tony Birkhla from Indy was trying to rehab the Terrace Plaza before the previous owner sold it out from under him while under contract for purchase. Flaherty and Collins reps have already said they won't be doing anymore work in city of Cincinnati same with Millhaus developers.

Looks like there is mostly smoke damage to the building. SHP Design is in the building and posted they were allowed to go back in and work. So i assume all is fine, plus the lunch lobby wasnt cancelled today.

You are correct, anything that is darker on the screen was either re-paved or sealcoated by the Levine family. The lot that is lighter gray was the lot that was sold for the new development.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Makes it more of a neighborhood now providing amenities for local residents and business folks. Plus this space was always going to struggle unless they broke it up into a couple smaller spaces along the road. Only way I dont see this exceeding is if people just dont attend this location and they struggle to build a membership base.

Cincinnati: Oakley: Development and News
Reztark worked with Anderson Real Estate when selling the property. Reztark does alot of grand ideas for developers, they hire as quickly as they lay off because of speculative work. But I can say the new owners have desires to do more with the properties because of the location. Plus that design they have on there site is nothing like the new owners want to do with the site. We are talking about replacing existing surface lots with new buildings and parking garages
-
Cincinnati: Oakley: Development and News
Not to get off topic but the new owners of Rookwood commons are looking at feasbility of higher density in the Commons and exchange. Parking garages, offices, residential, on the exisiting parking lots. Doing away with a lot of the surface lots.

You have to keep them in good condition in order to maintain monthly account holders, avoid law suits from users going into the convention center and such so you are continuing to bring in revenue. The convention center expansion is still years away, the upgrades are general maintenance that needs to take place until such time.
