Cincinnati: Mt. Adams: Development and News
City Side Development has gained traction on Oregon Street in Mount Adams. Signage went up overlooking the city this weekend, and launch party this week. Four high end town houses to overlook the city. https://www.facebook.com/events/353739814962682/

Do you mean "Shillito's"? It actually was built for Pogue's Department store as warehouse space, offices, and delivery services. I know the building has been vacant since 2001.

I just looked through the construction documents provided they do not show a roof top deck above the fifth floor. They do show rear decks at the second, third and fourth floors though.

Newport, KY: Ovation
Not exactly top dollar rental apartments I think 2 bedroom units going for 750. None the less its Brown Properties that owns the complex.

The parking company just had it sealcoated and stripped nothing overly expensive just maintenance that has to happen. They still have a lot of folks that park on the lot daily might as well keep making money until the lot becomes a construction site.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
No I have to disagree, from the contractor grade railings, to the bland and boring windows and lighting. Lets not forget the combination hardy board and EIFS. No thanks tired of seeing it everywhere. People might dislike phase one but at least there was quality building materials, glass railings, and higher end touches throughout. The shape of the radius is nice but it looks like it was value engineered like crazy. Urban Design Review board continued to rip the design even though it got pushed through to construction.

Fountain Place (Macys, Tiffany and Co.) Doesn't need to be torn down. The building was actually built to hold 40+ plus stories above the three story platform. Towne Properties has the keys to that development but they seem to be sitting on there hands with it unfortunately... Building on the P&G gardens? Heck no. I am all about urban development, but you need areas in a city that are a respite from the buildings, streets, and concrete. I enjoy the hanging gardens at P&G its unique and you don't come across it in other cities... Donatos building has to go, hopefully Griewe sticks with his proposal for the midrise condo project there and on the corner across the street.

Quote from: ucgrady on April 18, 2016, 04:54:24 PM Do you think the fact there is not a national hotel brand associated makes it seem less likely? I read the whole Courier article and saw no brand or developer that I recognized, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't happen. That is a huge part of it. The last person to announce a major hotel without a single hotel partner announced or even in the wings was the SCPA hotel. Also, their financing plan has large gaps, etc. Trust me, I'd want this to happen, but when you have a first phase of a parking garage, and a second phase of actually building things, it sounds a lot more like we're going to get a parking garage with some hope for future development. I know from a couple sources plus the rendering has the Element "E" on the side of the rendering.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Holiday Inn
I must be the only one that thinks the stacked stone building material on the base columns looks bad. Does not fit into the context of downtown. I guess it slipped by the urban design review board...

4th and Race Project. You know its a shame that the original project didnt happen. At least Flaherty used RTKL and they created something nice. What is with 3CDC and the City using Preston Partnership? This is the same firm that gave us the ugly "Radius" eyesore at the banks. I can think of four firms in this city alone that could have created something ten times better for this development. Hope the Urban Design Review board really sticks it to them to redesign it. Just another rant, I really hope this doesn't start looking like the 84.51 building. We don't need two building on Race St. with an identity design crisis.

Does anyone know what is being developed at Court and Walnut? There has been discussion that G.C. has been selected for a residential new build construction. From what a source told me is that its going to be a 15 story building. I haven't found any information and I don't know of any firms in town doing the design work.
