Cincinnati/NKY International Airport
Glad to see we are getting more "local" vendors in the airport. I really wish CVG would ramp it into high gear on renovations and new vendors. B is getting embarrassing, its busy with Delta, American, and Breeze. If i didnt have my skyclub membership id bitch about options in the morning for travelers. Tuesday morning, starbucks was closed, Brueggers was closed as well as Gold Star which typically serve breakfast/coffee. Chick Fila was the only one open and had about 80 plus people in line. Max and Ermas space was supposed to be Frischs i would say thats dead in the water. McDonalds closed, and Wendys made their annoucement but there has been zero movement in the food court. A local coffee place could operate a small kiosk cart in the mornings and make a killing.

Covington, KY: Development and News
Bill Butler owns that city block, I highly doubt it will be developed in the near future. Our only hope is he sells it to finance his Ovation project further.

I agree, I don't think Cunningham is the right person for the job. Satterfield gives me Tuberville vibes all over again. I like Miller but the recruiting needs to step up, hard with the stupid portal and NIL crap ruining college sports.

Mason: Lindner Family Tennis Center / Cincinnati Open
No the writing is on the wall. The W&S open will be moved to Charleston as soon as the new owner has all the facilities up and going in Charleston. He's been building up new courts and stands down there. Tennis tourney will be here maybe two more seasons.

It reminds me of WTC but also of the New York Times Bldg, rainscreen entry condition especially with the text in the facade.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Its just two individuals (Danny Klingler, Margy Waller) and they live across the street from one another, almost certain that they have paper cup phones strung across the road from one another to plot their next evil plan for dismantling the city revitalization.

Newport, KY: Ovation
I think the biggest thing that everyone has to take into consideration is that Bill Butler has pissed everyone off in this town and cant find one person to help finance the Ovation. Corporex is self funding the development. I expect even more value engineering and project diminishing as the years come. After the bs with the Ascent project he was basically run out of town. Went out to Denver set up shop, and screwed everyone out there building another mixed use development. Realized he couldnt get very far there anymore he came back to town to develop the piece of property he has owned for awhile in Newport.

Cincinnati: University of Cincinnati: Development and News
I think its time for John Cunningham to hang his hat and head elsewhere. I am not thrilled with his leadership and things that are happening under his reign. Not to mention I sit a couple rows behind him at basketball and no one sits with him, he doesn't talk with anyone during the game, it just an odd makes me think his days are number with the bigger donors and alumni. Satterfield (Louisville sloppy seconds) hire is a really bad head scratcher. Wes Miller if he is given more time might right the basketball ship. Womens BB is major struggle bus, and volleyball took a nose dive too.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
With Portman being selected as developer, this makes me believe the new hotel brand will be Intercontinental. Portman Holdings has been building out a lot of IHG branded properties in the past five years. The other brands they have built already exist in the city (Hyatt, Westin, Marriott, Hilton). Was hoping for Hilton Signia, but my money now is on Intercontinental.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
Louisville did similar downtown, the exhibit hall is one story off street level. Makes a nice continuous floor plate across a couple of city blocks, of course you will get those that will bitch that the streets that go under the convention center will be ugly like Louisville or Philly, but they would complain if the street grid was cut off too, so you cant win.

What's your point? Cant reveal my sources, and the discussion had between parties had true validity to everything going on.

Second that, we went with the boring conservative design and developer out of the other two. (Newcrest never should have been a finalist)

Cincinnati: Downtown: Development and News
The original plan was the dual brand hotel in the main tower and convert the 50s addition along fourth street into a parking garage. Some of the biggest issue with this building is the huge city owned water chiller in the sub basement of this building. Basically a huge area that the hotel could never use but had have access for Duke and the City to access 24/7, lack of secondary fire stair in the main tower, and lack of true stretcher size elevator. Its a beautiful building but will require deeper pockets than NewCrestImage had...

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fort Washington Way Cap
Honestly, I am not too upset about being passed over first round. I looked at the list of who also got denied and was surprised by the number of airports with shovel ready projects that also were told no. Sharpen our pencils and go again for second round submission.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
CVG based here and based on Frontier retracting heavily from Cincinnati, id say CLE for the new crew base. It makes sense for Frontier to grow at CLE, Allegiant has left and Breeze hasnt started service in CLE. Less competition at the airport to garner more customers for more routes.
