  1. Uptown? Do you mean the Euclid-105 area or more toward MRN's Uptown development? I oft conflate Uptown and UC. And from the limited amount I've heard, it would also be near MLK and Euclid. I do know the builders and their investors are unbelievably pleased (perhaps prematurely) with 1UC and want more.
  2. I've heard from someone with the builders of One University Circle not to be surprised to see an even taller building announced for Uptown by 2020.

Brutus_buckeye[/member] I think Pittsburgh would get the team before us. The Riverhounds have an established fan base and a stadium ready for expansion.

I honestly cannot see us going more than 5 games. You can't sustain iso ball against GSW unless you bury 45% from three off the dribble-drive.
  5. You know what that was for, right? I do not, PLEASEEEEE enlighten
  6. ^I heard the owner just wanted to travel and explore other careers/lifestyles Pugu[/member] . I'm not at all certain as to the authenticity of that report, however. So if someone else can confirm or deny that would be great
  7. jws[/member] I hear ya, and I know exactly which one you're referring to; it looks great. I think in terms of preserving the neighborhood aesthetic as this project ages and keeping NIMBYs at bay - red may be necessary
  8. ^It looks amazing, imo
  9. Hey all, Does anyone have a picture of the trading floor of KeyBanc Capital Markets in Key Tower??? I’ve heard it’s huge and I wasn’t aware it really even existed.
  10. This may be the wrong thread, but why tf can't Parma catch on with yopros
  11. West Park has the potential to cater to people like my fiance and I... We will live our first 3-4 years of marriage in Ohio City, but will likely be forced to the suburbs once we begin having kids for a bevy of reasons. West Park could offer city proximity to my then wife and I, while offering a nice home, walkable streetscapes, a yard for our kids to play in, and access to the near West suburbs as well as downtown. However, I've been disappointed that Kamms Corners hasn't really "upped its game". While it's certainly a charming little pocket, I don't see any projected plans to attract new, young families. Unless I'm completely wrong - which has been the case before.

Don't tell me your boy doesn't have scoops.
  14. Does anyone have the backstory on the Tremaine-Gallagher house (shown in link). I cannot find much but would love to know its story as well as its original owner's... http://www.loc.gov/pictures/search/?q=Photograph%3A%20oh0016&fi=number&op=PHRASE&st=gallery
  15. The vault under the former Jewish Community Center (where the Edge now sits) was MASSIVE. I remember it took them 3-4 days just to excavate it

Ehhh, I'd bet the over on 5.5. But I agree, .500 is asking way too much at this point.

You mean the irresponsible and stupid comparisons? They're certainly not the same player or person. But if a city loses a mayor to a corruption scandal, you do know subsequent mayors will be (rightly) judged under a closer microscope. Thankfully, he'll have a year to sit and learn behind Tyrod Taylor, who is a consummate professional and a man of great moral character.
  18. I've been saying this since 2012, but it took a Trump Presidency to get everyone to notice it lol
  19. Perhaps nothing is a greater homage to the gilded age than keg stands and hazing.
  20. That's incredible!!! eastvillagedon[/member] . I have a buddy living in Midtown paying $4200 for a 680 sq ft 1BR
  21. ODOT has been violating the commerce clause for years too

I never knew this thread existed. I've been saying Ohio City's page BADLY needs revamping!!!
  23. If we would've NOT torn down even just 40% of the structures we have downtown and instead built on vacant or under-utilized lots, we would have a wholly different volume and density downtown.
  24. Hotz's owners contend that they are the oldest *continually operating* bar in Cleveland, with Flat Iron being the oldest bar in the city - with a gap in prohibition. Additionally, a fun fact - there is a speakeasy on the second floor of Rex's Autobody on Church that was used during prohibition. The garage was a loading / dropoff point for bootleggers making runs from Canada to Cleveland Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. The bar is fully intact and the owner of the shop is known to have some private parties there. https://www.google.com/maps/@41.4897409,-81.7086562,3a,75y,3.25h,96.03t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1ss7pTeHRnfFrYAWtH4z5lnw!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo1.ggpht.com%2Fcbk%3Fpanoid%3Ds7pTeHRnfFrYAWtH4z5lnw%26output%3Dthumbnail%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26thumb%3D2%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D213.11378%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100!7i13312!8i6656
  25. You sure about that? Melanie Leneghan was a total unknown until he threw his support behind her. Jim Jordan is a huge figure in the state media cult of Fox News. I am positive. Losing by a narrow margin in the primary isn't exactly a sterling endorsement of an ability to influence state-wide elections.
