US Economy: News & Discussion
Love it! Of the 26 primary industrialized nations, our primary stock exchange is #18 of 26. So, while I'm happy, I wish we'd get to the front of that line.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
My office has been DYING to move our firm. But it's not economically feasible at the moment, and we have a relatively large budget.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
^And I do know the employees aren't thrilled about being on Hinkley Pkwy

Cleveland: Downtown: John Hartness Brown Buildings / Euclid Grand
My apologies, I did not mean to suggest it would be cheaper. All I am saying is... at a certain point, the renovation cost will hit a threshold where I think it will be necessary to tear down in order to attract tenants. I know this is a pipe dream, but that block would be magnificent for a 35-40 story SW tower. It would directly abut the street, fill in a major gap in the skyline, and make that strip of Euclid vibrant again.

I love preserving historic structures. But the space is going to need to be torn down. Think about the exorbitant rehab cost. If someone has the cash to come in there and do everything the right way, with the right tenants, don't you think they will want to start from scratch?

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
You're right, and I don't know why. Fairfax and Hough were virtual food deserts before Uptown and UC revitalized, and now there's a Constantino's and a new Dave's planned in Midtown, yet the biggest complaint I heard at the last Fairfax meeting was street parking and traffic congestion. COME TF ON

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
I love that. It's the Cleveland Scene crowd... they literally think every development in the city is put forward by Tammany Hall hucksters. Imagine how their brains would explode if they lived in somewhere where developers requests were actually streamlined.

Cleveland: Downtown: Standard Building
Mike and Dee's in the Rosetta Building. A true greasy spoon with some smiling faces serving up bomba** comfort food.

Cleveland: Downtown: Standard Building
A 24-hour diner, located between Public Square, the Justice Center and the Convention Center hotel, would be most welcome. I miss Addy's very much

Cleveland: Downtown: Standard Building
I was on the waiting list initially and planning to move in October 2017. The late start forced me to find a place elsewhere.

2018 U.S. Senate Race
^We'll see if the story makes it out. But I've heard from now multiple reliable sources that it stems back to the 2011 dealings with Ben Suarez

Nice, the locally owned neighborhood joint, Dominos (Duh-mee-nose)

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
Would've been nice to have tenants locked in with mortgages rather than rents... Who's been saying that? Every. Single. One. Of. Us.

2018 U.S. Senate Race
I can confirm that Josh's wife does have some health issues. I can ALSO confirm that his wife's health was NOT the reason Josh Mandel dropped out of the Senate race. I anticipate the story will be out within a week or so.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
I'm trying to put aside my biases here, but I admit my very strong bias against Donald Trump. Political speech on a billboard is the essence of the first amendment, is it not? I drove by a bunch of Trump billboards on the turnpike, sometimes at business establishments, and I didn't like it, but I wouldn't say it's inappropriate. Is it the profanity that bothers you? I don't think the guy could've made his point without it, and he censored every letter. Definitely is. But not normal on real estate signage. Nonetheless, here we are talking about it... so mission accomplished

Cleveland: Downtown: John Hartness Brown Buildings / Euclid Grand
That's still substantial and shouldn't be disregarded, IMO. By square footage, 925 is one of the largest downtown.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Ummmmm.... has anyone noticed the signage around the Brickhaus Development proposed site? Less than appropriate, in my opinion. Obviously, it's a shame that the inappropriate part is a direct quote from our president... but inappropriate nonetheless.

FC Cincinnati Discussion
The MLS has been sputtering some BS about Ohio's team and potential new team in the last 6 months.

Walked by today... Amazed at how fast they're moving.

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
It could be hidden in back. This may be one of those great chances for a public/private partnership--a court tower with rental space included in the tower. In back of what? Just spitballing here.... I would never want my office to be in the same building as a courthouse. Ever.

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
Would look great on the Jacobs lot on Public Square As an attorney, I pray to God the Justice Center is never 55 stories. It takes 15 minutes to get to the 10th floor on those elevators lol. Nonetheless, while complaining, I'd love to see any Skyline addition. Everytime I drive by the Eaton HQ in Beachwood I'm always like, we could stack that for 35+ stories lol.

2018 U.S. Senate Race
I can confirm that his wife does indeed have serious health issues. So let's all be kind (not calling you out KJP[/member]) and just wish her well and move on from this point. I can also confirm that Mandel and his staffers have never left their fraternity. The guy employed his friends as staff at every position he's held. He encapsulates "the swamp"
