Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
I have some family in Buffalo. I think a segment of the population in Buffalo look at a move to Cleveland as many Clevelanders view a move to Chicago (obviously to a lesser extent)... but nonetheless, it's a place with slightly more to do and more opportunity for people in the 22-32 range.

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
Hey guys, after seeing some posts on here re: people from out of state living here, I decided to do a little audit of my apartment building at 29th and Detroit today: - 3 Maryland plates - 3 Michigan plates - 2 Georgia plates - 1 New York plate - 1 Florida plate - 1 Massachusetts plate - 1 Vermont plate

^To that point, this tower will - with the Keith Building, really invite the Rhodes Tower as part of the skyline, and not just an outlier.

I remember from a course I took in college re: Anarchy as a philosophy... These cities at the time were each home to respective titans of industry that were seen to be controlling the US Government and life in the US via their monopolies and oligopolies. Cleveland had Rockefeller Pittsburgh had Mellon and Carnegie Boston has a slew of financiers In their opinion, it were these forces that were behind the purge of socialists and communists from mainstream life.

^If I am correct, that is also the spot where an anarchist detonated a bomb in 1919.- Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen
Not only that, but it can cause quite the log jam. Euclid is only one lane there.- Blockchains and Cryptocurriences
^KJP[/member] I have been buying and selling daily from Coinbase. A) I've been practicing cyber law recently, notably data breach cases. As such, I've become increasingly paranoid about what I put online as I learn more. I use Google Authenticate for each and every time I sign onto my account and I rest easy because of it. B) On days when there are 30%+ fluctuations, expect the site to crash for 10-12 minutes at a time. This is wildly frustrating if you like to buy the dips or sell the spikes. C) I'm holding onto my litecoin at least for another couple weeks, I try to buy about another $100 every time there is a quick, organized sell-off. I would set my price target by the New Year at $525.- Cleveland: Downtown: nuCLEus
^ I'll have to check with the Nevada Gaming Commission's records Dept... But 7-2- Blockchains and Cryptocurriences

It definitely has NOT been "stalled". MGM Grand Las Vegas would put 125-2 odds on this project ever being completed.- Blockchains and Cryptocurriences
I bought 6 litecoin at $96 last week, and love that its taken off.. but the service usage outages on coinbase really worry me- Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
I was driving up 77 today, this building will really fill in a nice chunk of the skyline and contribute greatly to the volume and aesthetic as you head north on 77.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
Yeah, Kaepernick isn't a bad QB, that wasn't my personal rationale for my comment above.- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
That building is a block away from me. I find it so beautiful. Additionally, it looks like there are some sizable terraces on the top floors. I believe they'd have close to an unimpeded view of the skyline.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
Yeah, Kizer will be a successful QB1 in this league. See Aikman and P. Manning on "atrocious" rookie seasons. He has shown consistent improvement every.single.game with little to no talent around him save, now, Josh Gordon. Browns fans love quick fixes that don't exist without a successful team installed around them. We ran Brian Hoyer out of town at 7-4 for Johnny Manziel.- Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen
I hate that in the back of my mind this is EXACTLY the thought I have every time I hear good news about the time-frame. I guess it's just the Clevelander in me.- Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen
^ I heard this morning that we might very well see a groundbreaking BEFORE May. I really hope this is true. Two cranes in the air Downtown would be refreshing to say the least.- Blockchains and Cryptocurriences

I happened to be driving down Euclid Avenue this week and one townhouse cluster is already structurally completed. It looks like ground is ready to be broken next door as well. (Point of reference--the project is on the northern side of Euclid Ave. between East 71st and 73rd Streets). I'm impressed with the speed of construction on this project. Hopefully there is demand for $400K townhomes in Midtown to back it up. Previous projects on this stretch of Euclid Ave. included subsidized apartments for the homeless and senior citizens at the beginning of the decade. If these new townhomes sell fast, it may set a nice precedent for all kinds of projects coexisting in the same neighborhood. Hopefully there is a demand that can be met, for the moment, by medical professionals at the hospitals, then followed soon thereafter by BioTech people as the hub in Cleveland continues to grow- Blockchains and Cryptocurriences
I believe you can short GBTC - Bitcoin Investment Trust. There may be other funds out there. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-11-27/calling-a-bitcoin-top-here-s-how-you-can-short-the-digital-coin https://www.investopedia.com/news/short-bitcoin/ So you could short-sell GBTC (or other Bitcoin funds, if they exist - and I'm sure they do) or any of the other things outlined in the Investopedia article. So, I tried. The fees on any worthwhile short play are 20% of the principal per month. So........ Bleh- Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
Can anyone validate rumors for me that Google will be expanding into prosthetic organs and pacemakers? If true, Cleveland may be THE place for this operation to land.- Cleveland: Downtown: Cleveland Athletic Club Redevelopment
