  1. Lordstown and PIC (soon to be XL) seem like affordable, long-term EV plays
  2. Yes lol. I left TDAmeritrade for RH just due to transaction convenience. I'm fully aware of the wrap it gets and I'm not an active trader, so it's just a convenience thing for me.
  3. I trade Litecoin and Ethereum on Robinhood
  4. Oh it’s wholly volatile and backed by nothing - and it’s clearly subject to manipulation. Im investing in the transaction efficiency with LTC more so than anything else. Additionally, I wholly concede that 2017 was a bubble and absolutely insane. And could potentially happen again.
  5. ROI in whiskey would inevitably lead to me giving them more money - they could exploit me into bankruptcy
  6. $54.16 at the time of this comment... https://www.coindesk.com/price/litecoin Yabo Buffet!?!?
  7. The funny thing is, E. 4th in Cleveland is as good of an area as any I know in the state for a DORA... and nothing. Oi.
  8. Is this the only one in the state thus far?
  9. Full steam ahead at the new MyPlace development on Franklin. The road will be closed between 48th and 50th for the next few days(?)

  11. I know a few of them as well. And I'm not trying to disparage anyone - but again, that salary and staffing for a fire department in a city that's barely 4sq mi is INSANE. In 2016, the firemen tried to amend the city charter to include mandatory levels of staffing. My point is - ignore regionalizing Cuyahoga as a whole - if you even just took North Royalton, Parma, Middleburgh Heights, and Parma Heights, and made one consolidated FD - you could probably reduce 20% of the staffing and have fewer, better located station. Municipalities continue to be strapped for cash, but the public unions are the primary reason why regionalization is a four letter word.
  12. I come from a family of firemen. Both grandfathers were firemen, as are three of my uncles. But holy sh** do we need to regionalize based on fire departments alone. Example 3,934,485 of public unions holding communities hostage. For reference, Parma Heights is a city of about 20,00 residents. It has a fire department of about 25 firemen. 11 of those firemen made over $100,000 last year. Parma Heights responded to 29 fires in Parma Heights last year. Of those 29 fires, EVERY. SINGLE. FIRE. received mutual aid from an adjacent city. This is just one city, I'm sure there are a litany of these in the county. 13. This is the right way to do it.

I think he truly strikes to both right and left in Cleveland. To the left - he understands the need for investment in walkable and transit friendly neighborhoods; he understands the need for modern and progress governmental reform; he understands the need for opportunity in marginalized neighborhoods. To the right - He understands that we can't tax our way out of problems; he wants to leverage local institutions of higher ed to anchor businesses here; he understands an over-regulated city won't attract and retain growing businesses.

Cannot overstate how well Justin Bibb will play: 1. To people under 40 2. To people who are transit/pedestrian oriented 3. To people who want a pro-business growth strategy 4. To people who care about modernizing Cleveland's government and infrastructure, to the extent possible 5. To people who want an individual who's cut their teeth outside of government. My friends and I are primarily Republicans (or recovering Republicans) and Bibb is the first time a lot of us have been excited about a city-wide candidate.
  17. This reminds me of Christmas shopping with my parents at Tower City as a kid!

I'm reading the Andrew Carnegie biography and stumbled across something kind of interesting: Carnegie fought to have a railroad (or canal) built to Conneaut Harbor so he could ship his steel. So interesting to me that they chose Conneaut and not Cleveland, especially considering Carnegie's friendship with Hanna. I wonder what that would've done to the long-term growth of the Port of Cleveland if the shipments hadn't been directed to Conneaut.
  20. There's also been discussions of the Browns playing a season in Akron, Canton, or even Columbus if the renovations are too cumbersome to keep the stadium open. A lot of what's desired would be for the "overhanging" spaces outside of the stadium to be turned into multi-use, year-round activity spaces (i.e. look to Busch Stadium in St. Louis' adjacent, integrated entertainment spaces as an example) - I know the Haslam's love the idea of integrating a stadium into a "neighborhood" feel (and that's one of the reasons I hold on to any suspicion that they may want a new location). I'd expect the Haslam's to push this issue as the Browns get better over the next year or two, and the fans and community become more invested in the team. FWIW - the people involved with this all seem to have genuinely good intentions and want it to be a net positive for NEO
  21. They're not looking to move the stadium. The Haslam's are infatuated with crowd noise as an advantage (hence the lower bowl increase in capacity, when the rest of the stadium was downsized)... In the next 4-5 years, you will see a proposal that includes a retractable roof and potentially a field dropped by 2-3 feet to add some lower bowl capacity. Among some people I've talked to, the goal is for Cleveland to have a Super Bowl and a Final 4 by 2040.
  22. I never knew that was the old bridge. That's pretty cool
  23. 1. I have a buddy that lives in SoHo and just went to his parents house in Georgia since April and now he's back 2. Most of the NY plates I think are from WNY. Cleveland tends to be to Buffalo a mini version of what Chicago is to Cleveland. 3. I think inner-ring suburbs (Parma, Brook Park especially) are going to be targets of re-development in the next decade.
  24. Here's an interesting anecdote. Per Bernie Moreno's LinkedIn - Bentley Cleveland led the nation in Bentley purchases nationwide in the month of November. The runner's up were Miami and Naples, respectively.
  25. I heard that the new phase may be open by May - is that true??
