I've heard that as well - but from my understanding the block club has already made it known that they won't tolerate "non-local" "profit-focused" retailers after the "abomination" of Title Boxing getting the second spot in the Saucy building. Those are in quotes because I pulled those directly from comments from a block club member. As if the point of retail wasn't to make a profit...

You're correct! We talked about it up-thread but it's exciting and should be repeated. Lululemon is not the only retailer that plans to test this market, from my understanding - and it's not just Intro drawing the attention.

I can't say much right now - as I probably shouldn't have even posted it on here lol. But what I know right now is that there's a group that's been buying housing and retail in the neighborhood in chunks via shell companies over the last 4 years, with a plan to bring a lot of higher-end housing to market simultaneously (higher end meaning $225k - $300k) and align walkable restaurants, shops, bars, etc. to open within a similar timeframe.

Cleveland: Brooklyn Centre / Old Brooklyn: Development and News
I had a conversation this weekend with someone I trust who told me that property value in and around Old Brookyn (he stated within a mile of Broadview and Pearl) will be up 40-60% by 2025. He and a couple partners have bought up land in the area through shell LLCs and have two particularly ambitious projects planned. He and his associates are particularly focused on Old Brooklyn because he says: 1. It has great bones for a walkable CBD, and 2. It has the lot size, yardage, etc. to convince a lot of middle to upper middle class families to stay in the city who would've otherwise planned on moving to the suburbs. I found #2 particularly interesting because my wife and I had discussed that very point back in Many. I don't know much more than that - but I thought it was worthy of a share.

- Cleveland: Transit Ideas for the Future
Admittedly, I am an intellectual midget, transit-wise, compared to most on this thread. Nonetheless, I would love to see an expansion of rapid transit to inner-ring suburbs. I know many of us on here treat suburb as a four letter word, but some people simply can't afford good neighborhoods in the city, but would still like to live within 20 minutes of downtown. Having said that - I always have this thought in mind, with Tower City as the spoke and 3 new rapid lines extending into the inner ring suburbs. West - A rapid (or trolley) line with stops at: Edgewater and West Blvd, Clifton and 117th, Clifton and Warren, Clifton @ Celeste Park, and Lake and Wagar. (I know that the CSU bus almost replicates this route) Southwest. A rapid line with stops at: Detroit and 25th, 25th and Woodbridge (Metro), Pearl and Broadview, Pearl and Ridge, Ridge and Ridgewood. Southeast. A rapid line with stops at: Miller Pl. dead-end in Tremont, Fleet and Washington Pk Blvd., Garfield Rd. and E. 49, and Rockside and Brecksville Rd I just think so many inner ring suburbs would become instantly more attractive with a well-cared-for transit system. It would be good for density, and another notch toward regionalization- Cleveland Browns Discussion
FWIW - We're one of only 4 teams in the NFL undefeated against teams below 500.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
I am the son of a man that bought Super Bowl tickets in 1986, 1987, and 1988. I understand the skepticism wholeheartedly. I also know what's in front of us now has nothing to do with the Browns of 1987 or the Browns of 2017. Stefanski has this team learning to win games that in year's past we would've lost. He's done an excellent job reinventing a culture, not about a "new attitude" or a "return to greatness", rather by remaining calm and making sure that everyone knows to do their 1/11. Do I think we'll likely lose by 10+ this weekend? Yeah, I do. But holy crap we're 8-3 and our first round pick this year gets to be a compliment, not a cornerstone. That's exciting.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
Synopsis Defense Honestly, not much to say here. We have very little talent on defense without Garrett, Ward, and Harrison. I do wish we would run a little more cover 1 with Karl Joseph - not Sendejo - in zone. That would be better suited once we get our pass rush back, however. I also wish we'd blitz a little more from the boundary - I think we could utilize Mack Wilson's aggression and put him in situations to be successful. All in all - they did the best we could ask of them with their 3 best players out. Offense We know Baker missed the touchdown - for the love of God its all anyone talked about. I'm more concerned with the fact that he was so delayed on his read, tbh. That was a smash concept (which sees a flag or deep out over top, normally with a hitch or option route underneath). However, because this was against man, Higgins had the option route and it worked as a rub. Baker should've seen that immediately and that ball should've been to Higgins before he even crossed the goal line. Beyond that, Baker's mistakes are correctable - he threw that ball off his back foot, with his body opened up, which will lead to a high throw 9x out of 10. Take comfort in the fact that his biggest flaws are the most correctable. Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt continue to be incredible. Our interior lineman have also been phenomenal. Teller, Bitonio, and Tretter all have an uncanny ability to combo and get to the next level. Having an Ivy League grad at center certainly helps in those situations, because you seldom see the Browns make assignment errors up front. Our wide receivers deserve another shoutout - I don't know if there's a receiving core in the NFL who blocks harder than them - and I'll include the TE's in there too. I know Harrison Bryant is struggling with ball security, but the kid just flat out GETS IT with blocking. A reach or scoop on a 9 technique is one of the hardest blocks in football, and Hooper and Bryant get it done consistently. PSA: Get over the refs bad calls. Losers blame the refs. Fact of the matter is, against a team like Jacksonville, you shouldn't even be in a position to let a blown call impact the outcome of the game. In the end it all worked out anyways. Additional PSA: Idk what it is about our fan base, but why do we hate ourselves so much??? Pretty much all of our best players have missed multiple games, we have a first year head coach, and we're 8-3!?!? I swear to God there are a contingent of Browns fans who are upset that the Browns are good. To put my Freud hat on, I think many of these fans have a miserable, unfulfilling life and were always able to point at the Browns and say, "well even I could have ______" and "well at least I'm not __________", and now they have to confront their own shortcomings, or wait until Cavs season- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News

If we replace anyone as an FA signing, imo, it will be Goodson - and I think Berry will look to draft at least one OLB in the top 5 rounds next year. In our scheme, a Sam is easier to hide than a Will, and I think this would be especially true if: 1) We have two strong ILB's plugging A-C gap, and 2) We have Myles Garrett occupying LT's. This entire hypothetical relies on the assumption that Mack Wilson will continue to improve, too. It will be interesting to see, nonetheless.- Cleveland Browns Discussion

Sorry it's a day late, but here are my thoughts: Coaching I cannot tell you how refreshing Kevin Stefanski has been this year. This is his first year as a head coach and you really can't tell. A couple points: I cannot begin to emphasize what a savvy move that was of him to keep the offense on the field in the 4th to force the Texans to take their second timeout. Idk why no one was talking about that, but it essentially made a comeback next to impossible. He knows how to get the most out of what he's got. Particularly, he utilized the tight ends this week to illicit pre-snap reads in a way that would help Baker switch run directions when needed. In the second half alone, I counted 16 offensive plays with a pre-snap motion from a tight end. A lot of it was "yo-yo" motion too, intended solely to assist Baker in diagnosis who (if anyone) would be manned up, and if LB's would swap responsibility depending on the alignment being to the boundary or field. Offense Wyatt Teller and Joel Bitonio are MAULERS, and Jack Conklin and Jedrick Wills have done exceptional jobs extending running lanes this year. Really happy overall with O-line play (when we have all five healthy). We have the best backfield in football, that's obvious. The fact that we have two superstars willing to split carries - that's amazing. I am smitten with Harrison Bryant. As a former TE, I loveeee watching tight ends get the best of OLB's, and this dude straight up gets his rocks off by setting the edge in the run game. Beyond that, he's proven himself adept at finding the soft spots in zone coverage and occupying defenders. Baker is struggling in bad weather. Which is a problem, considering the fact that he plays in Cleveland. His pocket presence was better this week, and that will help with his accuracy in wind, but he's gotta put it all together. His hands are big enough and his arm is strong enough. Defense Take it in folks, because our d-line this year will be the type of thing we talk about 10-20 years from now. Garrett is a clear front runner for DPOY in my opinion, and Ogunjobi and Richardson have also been exception. Mack Wilson has vastly improved in the last 3 weeks as well. We still need an answer at Sam, and Takitaki ain't it. Denzel Ward played an excellent game, and he's putting together a nice season. Sendejo continues to be the worst safety in football and we need Delpit back next season. Badly. On the whole, we're 6-3, with only 1 loss outside of our division. And btw, statistically, the AFC North is the best division in football to this point since the AFL/NFL merger. So there is reason to be optimistic. We need to finish 11-5 to cement a playoff spot. Fact of the matter is, we're the better team in the next 2 matchups, and the Browns should EXPECT to be 8-3 going into the Titans game. If we can take 1 from either the Steelers or Ravens that should lock us in. Speaking as someone who was involved in "turnaround projects" I just hope that locker room realizes how VERY attainable a 12-4 season actually is.- Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info

As someone who's been to Buffalo 3+ times a year since I was born, I've: 1. Never known or met anyone who lived there. 2. Never heard it discussed. Moreover, it's completely separated by the highway from the rest of Buffalo.
