No, it's on both sides of the building and took a couple weeks to install. It's a shame, really.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
There have been renovations non-stop the last 3 months. New sidewalk, new windows (though they covered the stained glass with a dark tinted plastic and I hate it) and a re-sealed parking lot.

Thanks! Yes it's in the lot next to the church. And I will gladly give up the lot where I play fetch with my dog for some development. I wonder how many units it will be

May I remind you, @KJP, that Bobby George "is not a socialist", so it's completely reasonable for him to ask for 1200% more than what he paid for the parcel, despite adding no capital improvements.

I hope they do given the terms under which he acquired the land... but it will be REALLY difficult for them when the land is generating revenue via that stupid billboard.

It's my wife's favorite form of entertainment. There was once a post about an orange parking cone on Jay Ave that was met with 175 comments. Lmao.

Go to the Ohio City Facebook group and watch people complain about the street being "too well lit" after complaining for years that it was too dark. Peak entertainment

UO Chess League
Touching base on this long-since-expired idea. Chess.com allows you to create a free user name. If we could get at least 8 people who want to sign up, I'd be willing to schedule matches and keep track of wins / losses and league formatting? I think it might be something to look forward to and break the inevitable monotony to come as cold weather makes social distancing a little bit tougher. How about this? I'll give everyone until next Wednesday to respond, and I'll bump this thread at least once a day, just to make sure as many people as possible get eyes on it. Thanks!

Everytime I open this thread, I get excited that I'm going to open it to news that Hingetown has FINALLY been declared pedestrian only

Cleveland: Ohio City: Bridgeworks Development
As someone with a property interest in Stonebridge, I'm happy to see this moving forward. I'll be honest though, I don't love that initial rendering. Otherwise, thrilled that there will be commercial in the space as well.

Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
Warburg Pincus has a reputation that's ummm ... not great for preserving local jobs. I had a mentor who worked there for four years before moving back to Cleveland to do PE. Said the amount of people he put out of work made him want to cry every night. Praying this is an investment and not a chop job.

Idk why we as Browns fans hate ourselves so much, but if you would've told me 5-3 going into the bye week back in August I would've said hell yeah. I'll get the full thoughts tomorrow- The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread
That language actually makes me angry though. Because it's in no way indicative of the progress seen in the three C's since 2010.- Personal Finance / Investing Thread
Yeah 2017 was wholly artificial, and a bubble. 2017 was madness.- Personal Finance / Investing Thread
FWIW - Litecoin has obtained 2 new platforms that accept its payment in the last month, and this will only increase as its transaction speed is touted. I think, as a gold/bronze alternative to Bitcoin, we could see LTC back over $100 by Spring.- Hiking
https://www.cabinsbythecaves.com/ Our cabin was immaculate - highly recommend. But many of these are off grid. Ours was a mile off the road into the forest, and I had to drive about 6 miles to get a cell signal- Cleveland Browns Discussion
One play in a vacuum is a reason to get frustrated with him, sure. But he has excellent hips and is a very good field corner, especially in man.- Cleveland Browns Discussion

I hate this entire overture (not you though, @Toddguy - I normally like your takes on everything so please don't believe this is aimed at you personally) But injuries happen in football. I once had my QB lead me over the middle of the field into a safety where I was KO'd after the catch. He never should've led me into the middle like that. But I'm the best man in his wedding next July and he was a groomsmen in mine. These things happen in sports, especially football, if Baker beats himself up over the INT he'll kill himself the rest of the season. Secondly, it's the national football league - be happy about every win. Sure, you should act like you've been there - but 99% of athletes play better when they're having fun. Third and finally - he didn't know OBJ tore his ACL at the time he celebrated. What he did know is that he overcame an atrocious start and, with the help of Myles Garrett, Rashad Higgins, JC Tretter, DPJ, Jarvis Landry, and Harrison Bryant, they overcame adversity on the road to move to 5-2. You'd be a masochist not to celebrate that win.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
OBJ tearing his ACL certainly doesn't help- Cleveland Browns Discussion
I think something that needs to be said, too, is that we've yet to have 2 games in a row with both Karl Joseph and Ronnie Harrison healthy. That may change things. - Cleveland Browns Discussion
