Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
I was scrolling on google maps looking for a decent little spot near Parma to meet some family this week... and I stumbled across Peabody’s on Pearl and Fulton in Cleveland. Look at the owner’s responses to negative Google reviews!!! Lol. i guess their urinals have pictures of Obama and Hillary

No, by Cleveland standard its a step above Giant Eagle & Meijer and a step below Whole Foods

Cleveland: Retail News
Because they're actual "regular groceries" section is rather tiny when compared to most Heinen's. That, combined with the location, makes their prices a bit higher than elsewhere. So, the people that shop there either: A) Come for the prepared meals at lunch/dinner, or B) Live nearby without less expensive options for cereal, apples, etc

Cleveland: Retail News
Have you been to the Heinen's downtown? (Not snarky, just a general question) I'm not sure, in my opinion, if it could handle any direct competition in terms of boxed groceries or produce in the direct vicinity

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
Granted I know very little about airlines. But I still think CLE could fill a niche for a growing mid-market airline like Frontier... or even Air Canada. Additionally, fostering relationships with European airlines is clearly attainable as well... and in many ways IcelandAir leaving was due to forces outside of our control more than lack of traffic.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
I agree - and there are no excuses for some of the undisciplined play we're seeing. Nonetheless, Browns fans love to enter this self-perpetuating cycle of starting over, and have yet to realize its effects

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Here goes y'all - i'll just go by offense and defense: OFFENSE Nick Chubb is still the f****** man. The fumbles happened, he'll move on, as should we. Baker's lack of awareness is starting to get really frustrating. Particularly: It was the 2nd or 3rd play of the game where we had a nice gain that was called back due to an illegal man downfield. This play was an RPO (Run-pass option) and first off, I think Baker made the wrong read. We had 6 on 6 in the box and Baker's read was the weak side linebacker, who didn't overly commit on the run. Whenever you have numbers and a WLB in pass coverage, you give. Moreover, the fact that Baker had to wait for Landry to clear that LB is what caused the throw to come a half second later than it otherwise should have, and led to our OL downfield blocking - doing 100% the right thing. Baker needs better situational awareness there. The Pats didn't disguise all that much. When they were Cover 0, they were in our faces about it. 5-6x throughout the game Baker could have taken off for 7-8 easy yards as all defenders had their backs turned guarding their man. I know you all get frustrated when he scrambles, but when you see Cover 0 with no spy, running is usually the right thing to do. We were out coached, and here's a couple nuanced points: Chubb's first fumble was due to a brilliant piece of technique by Kyle van Noy. When left unblocked, defensive ends are taught to squeeze the end and scan laterally down the LOS, as it usually means they're either the read man or about to get blown up by a pulling OL. In this case, KVN saw the pull, and dove at the inside knee of Bitonio (I think), which clogged the hole and sent Bitonio off of his feet - leading to the fumble. When we run screens, our alignment makes it predictable. At least 2-3x I saw all of our receivers to the playside lined up on the line of scrimmage. In essence, this makes every receiver inside of the end man ineligible which: a) tells the defenders that the inside receivers/TE aren't running a route or b) leads to a penalty. This is the type of crap good high school coaches pick up on, much less Bellichick. We need Odell to get more targets. He's really not being doubled as much as people claim, and even when he is, we can still throw him open. As someone that played TE throughout my career, I can sincerely say that a ball is exponentially harder to catch later in a game if you haven't gotten any targets and acclimation throughout the game. Obviously, he needs to bring in that back shoulder throw, but we also need to prime the motor a bit. DEFENSE Steve Wilks is the man. Our defense flies to the ball and everyone gives effort. We just need a little better technique out of Greedy and we'll be ready to roll. I'd like to see him incorporate Myles and Olivier into a few more stunts when their lined up in the boundary. Both of them can escape blocks on their own, but they become damn near unguardable when communication between OL leads to any confusion whatsoever. Joe Schobert plays well beyond his means. Guy will be an asset if we start ripping off wins here and look for the playoffs. All in all, everyone needs to calm down. We're still okay. If we lose to Denver, however, get the life jackets.

Cross-posting here... Hi guys and gals - I'll start off by making all necessary disclaimers. First, I will be speaking at the below event. Second, UrbanOhio isn't sponsoring or sanctioning it. Having said that - I thought it might at least be of interest to many of you. As I said, I'll be speaking to the Cleveland Engineering Society on November 19th regarding cyber threats currently facing the construction and manufacturing industries. I promise, I'm not trying to pimp myself out here, rather, just thought I would let everyone know, as I suspect there will be a decent cross-section of industries represented, which may present valuable networking in addition to whatever modest information I may bring to the table. If you want to or intend on coming, please let me know and I'll be sure to come talk to you before or after. Again, sorry if this comes off as shameless self-promotion, just figured some of the industry-relevant professionals on here may be interested. https://www.cesnet.org/EVENTS#id=165&cid=1275&wid=501&type=Cal

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
You sound like a college kid giving yourself a pep talk after his 8th alcoholic beverage... The building is hideous... and, unlike some potential mate at the bar, it's even uglier on the inside.

Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
Can one of the mods shoot me a DM, please? I have an event that I think a lot of members would be interested in attending, as it is applicable to the professions of many on here... but it would also fall under the category of self-promotion in some ways, and I don't want to run afoul of any rules. Thanks!

Random, Crazy, Euro-Inspired Development Idea
Tbh - What I'm looking for / describing would be less of a neighborhood and more of a town, I guess. Like if we picked a few acres in an exurb, (or even a deserted neighborhood in CLE) and developed it on its own, free standing and self-sufficient
-
Random, Crazy, Euro-Inspired Development Idea
Yeah that's close... I'd mean like 2-3 acres of that, with sporadic greenspaces, retail, housing, and restaurants.

I think that's unfair to say when Myles Garrett is tied for the NFL lead in sacks with a bye week already under his belt. Ogunjobi has 3 as well. If anything - I'd say Olivier Vernon has been a let down individually and request that we see more of Genard Avery - Cleveland Browns Discussion
