Agree and disagree - Looking from angles such as 490 Bridge and Tremont - the Rhodes Tower looks like an afterthought to downtown, like a tower that is kind of sort of involved in the skyline. Lumen extends a hand to Rhodes Tower, if you will, that will make it look more a part of downtown instead of on an island

Awesome, thanks a lot @Brutus_buckeye. I think we want to focus our real estate holdings on commercial, non-retail properties (with limited residential as well) for that very reason.- Personal Finance / Investing Thread
Hi guys & gals - Not sure if this is the right thread, but I think it is... Nonetheless, I'm in the process of forming a holding company just as a means of handling investments in local companies and property - spurred by some words of encouragement from Kenny Scoops himself @KJP. I'm interested in investing in local companies that need capital - while my wife, partner, and I will more or less handle the real estate side of things. As such, I came to the realization that I don't have the tiniest idea of where to even begin looking. I've visited BizBuySell and I think that's geared towards whole takeovers, which I don't have the infrastructure - nor capital quite frankly - to undertake at this moment. If any of you could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it. If you or someone you know is looking for outside investments - feel free to shoot me a DM if you'd like. Again, this will be modest investments for at least the next 12-18 months, but just want to see what options are out there. Thanks!- Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
It's somewhat isolated in that the adjacent homes are dated. I toured it with a buddy of mine - the place was incredible. He ended up buying just down the block FWIW- Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
Yeah - that was a tough one. I am one of 34 people I know coming down for the Browns game on a charter bus. The bus company said they have 11 buses booked to Cincinnati for that weekend. All in all, ticket/bus/drink wristband I'm paying $120 for the trip.- Cincinnati Bengals Discussion

First post in this thread in 14 years... but I figured it's the appropriate venue. Congratulations to my dad's alma mater, the Padua Bruins. Their women's volleyball team won the Louisville Invitational this weekend, beating the #1 and #4 teams in the country, and skyrocketing to #1 and #2 in all national HS girls volleyball polls! Very impressive, especially for a Midwestern school.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
The Ravens are frauds imo. (Screen shot this when we lose 42-7 next week lol) - I'd be willing to bet the Ravens finish 8-8 or worse. I think we beat SF, who struggled to beat a battered Steelers team. I think we lose to Seattle and Pats and come out of that stretch at 3-4.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
Yeah I hear you, but the typical run audible on a long yardage scenario is a draw - if it was 4th and 5 and a run audible was called, it likely would've been Chubb outside zone or counter trey, something like that. Maybe you're right, and I shouldn't promise things lol - but Baker took 2 hard counts, rattled off 3-4 lines of cadence, then snapped, which also leads me to believe draw was the secondary call there. Nonetheless - if we win next week we're in first in the division- Cleveland Browns Discussion
No, I get it - and I subscribe to the no moral victories ideology as well - the game was there for us to take it and we didn't. Baker needs to improve, Freddie needs to improve - wholeheartedly agree. But we're at game #3 with a rookie HC and a 2nd year QB, it's going to get better.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
Yeah the draw wasn't the play call out of the huddle, I promise.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
First things first - the penalties are unacceptable; especially pre-snap penalties, that falls on Freddie's shoulders. Beyond that, alignment penalties are INSANE. In college, I knew if motion came my way I typically had to adjust and get on or off the line depending on how many we had flexed to a side. It's unacceptable and needs to be addressed. Alright, as Frank Costanza would say: "I GOT A LOTTA PROBLEMS WITH YOU PEOPLE!!! AND NOW YOU'RE GONNA HEAR ABOUT IT!!" Now, let me talk about the illustrious Cleveland Browns "fans" and "writers" out there. I remember growing up, thinking we had a really football literate fanbase - LOLOL I'm being proven wrong everyday; time for the airing of the grievances: There are people that want Freddie fired, already. BRUHHHHHHHHH! He is 3 games into being a head coach. Y'all do realize, we took the NFC Champions to the last play of the game... with 3 of our starting 4 DBs out... and about 3-4 game-altering penalty calls missed... in his 3rd game as HC. Anyone calling for his head is insufferable and the reason we can't have nice things. I realize the play calling was tough to watch at times, but let me share the following with you: The draw on 4th and 9 WAS NOT THE PLAY CALL - Freddie may fall on the grenade for that one - but that was not the call out of the huddle. I promise you. Everyone was complaining about not targeting OBJ more, which I understand - but he was doubled nearly the entire game. That's why his only availability was in the run-pass-options in the soft spot in Cover 2, or in space after a play breakdown. That's where we miss Njoku, a TE that can stretch the SCIF (Seam, Curl, Flat) defender means there is less over-the-top help available from safeties in zone. I think we'll see a lot more of Landry to the boundary with Odell next week to compensate for that, because Jarvis playing isolated to the field side has limited benefits. Browns "Writers" - OMG By the grace of God and thanks to about a dozen people I follow on Twitter, I was introduced to Jake Burns last night. Now Jake, bless his heart, appears to love the Browns and football. But my god... this dude had some of the. worst. takes. I have ever heard and then I realize he's got like a pretty sizable following of Browns fans. My man could not for the life of him understand why Baker kept "reverting to his scrambling tendencies from college" I'll tell you why, Jake... Because Aaron Donald is a freaking DUDE and because Wade Phillips called over a DOZEN zero blitz packages yesterday (0 blitz = everyone not manned up on a WR/TE/RB is coming) - Baker bailed on 2-3 clean pockets, but my god is that some low hanging fruit analysis. He also had some wild insight about how he "couldn't even decipher routes"... when the Rams were LINED UP IN COVER 6 TO THE BOUNDARY - meaning, the Trips set we had to the boundary don't necessarily run "routes", they find spaces - meaning, Odell likely had the "2 gap" the soft spot behind the corner and about parallel to the safety's alignment, Jarvis had a middle control, and Meech had SCIF contain deep (hold the safety to the middle, if safety bails, Meech is the read.) Then I saw that Jake is going to "diagnose film" tonight - and honestly based on his understanding of the game I think I might as well critique video of a neurosurgeon performing a frontal lobotomy. I don't say this to be a jerk, but this is one of the problem's I have with the day and age of fantasy football - everyone thinks they know what the hell they're talking about. I'm not writing a blog critiquing Jim Cramer's performance on Mad Money every night because I participated in a stock simulation in undergrad. I'm with everyone in re: Baker - don't get me wrong. As stated above he did have 2-3 clean pockets that he bailed on - BUT EVERY QB IN THE GAME NOT NAMED BREES OR BRADY does that. He needs to work on it, but it's not like the kid forgot how to walk. What he does need to work on, still, is post-snap reads. I know everyone was complaining about him holding the ball too long, and a lot of that can be remediated with a quick trigger brain after the snap. Wade Phillips played a TON of Cover 1 (man underneath with 1 safety shading to Odell) but showed it as Cover 3 pre-snap, Baker has to know that means backside slant or hitch within .5 second of the ball being snapped. He'll get better at it, I don't doubt him, just think he's hit a bit of a plateau. . Issues with Freddie Per my comment above, Baker struggles with post-snap reads - Freddie needs to incorporate more motion in the game calling. I.e., if the Rams show cover 3, but we incorporate a Zip or Orbit motion, Cover 1 reveals itself, as the defender will run with his man - it's a simple fix, and I honestly think it's something that will come as Freddie settles into his own - which will come. That can also force a D to shift and eliminate double teams on Odell Discipline - pre-snap penalties are on the coach, period. False starts, illegal shifts, and illegal formations should be left behind in 8th grade. Predictability - Freddie threw slip screens to Chubb on (I think) four different 2&long situations, I don't hate the screen call, but we should tunnel to Odell or Jarvis or bubble to Chubb or Jarvis as well; though, he did call 2 of them right into the blitz, which was brilliant, though only 1 went for a big gain. Takeaway Y'all need to calm TF down. 10-6 is still a reasonable expectation for this team - especially in our division. Sorry for the angst, but I needed to yell at someone.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
