Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen
I can see some of the materials starting to appear above the Oswald building from my office at One Cleveland. Picture won't post for some reason.

^Had a NIMBY refer to this project as a monstrosity to me this morning. I honestly cannot pick a cooler, more practical, environmentally conscious, and aesthetically pleasing project for that location

Homeowners Associations: Good or bad?
When I was in law school, I clerked for a firm that represented solely HOA and Condo Associations - from my experience, I'd recommend against it. But it depends, HOA's where most of the occupants are below 50 tend to be more innocuous. If you live in a community with a majority of residents at 50+, I'd personally steer clear. I have seen some abuses of power you would not believe by retired persons who turned the HOA into their power vessel within the community. Moreover, we almost always won in court when challenged by individual owners.

Thankfully it won't have the same impact on the economy, but predatory auto loan places have done essentially what the mortgage industry did from 1995-2007. I know of a law firm in Cleveland that has only two clients, both predatory lending dealerships - an office of 4 attorneys netted over $3 million last year alone in collections fees.

I really fear that the timing of this will be bad. All signs indicate a market correction coming in late 2019 or early 2020.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
This isn't a bad idea. I think the enclosure is relatively easy to achieve as well, especially with major renovations planned for the upper deck seating to begin with. However, I do not think we will see an enclosure so long as we are seeing renovations and not a rebuild.

Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
Has anyone else been getting an insane amount of calls on their cell phone? I have had to block 17 numbers since Monday, all from people with Indian accents trying to talk about either insurance, a bank account, or taxes.

I've had the pleasure of meeting and conversing with Dee Haslam on multiple occasions - she may be a billionaire, but I genuinely believe she wants any changes that the team, organization, stadium bring to Cleveland to be a net positive for the community. They get a bad wrap, but in my interactions with them, they are very approachable and kind people.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
We had two years to show up and support them with attendance revenue and we didn't. If we were top 10 in attendance, I would feel differently

Cleveland: Glenville: Development and News
If someone from Outhwaite Homes, for example, is displaced by development, there is a 99.9999% chance that they will be moved somewhere newer and safer. So it's not always terrible.

There was literally a pile of human feces in between Toast and Il Rione this morning on West 65th. That's a hazard of a morning jog, I guess.

@eastvillagedon I always thought the city of Painesville has some absolutely perfect bones for a walkable, exurban community - which is rare. I think with the right vision it could look something more like Medina than Lorain
