  1. Man, oh man. So many memories there with my Grandpa force feeding me chili dogs. I loveeeee that place. Used to sneak away from Ignatius during free periods and grab a hot dog from time to time too
  2. While I am happy Addy's is back, I am CRUSHED about Jack Flaps. I would go there at least once a week and they were always busy, I don't get it.

Never fear @KJP John Dorsey is the alpha here

My friends with jobs in the league have heard the same. Kitchens is the value add from that coaching staff. If you have a stud coordinator, you don't want him leaving you - see Atlanta and Kyle Shanahan
  5. Going to make Playhouse Square soooooo much cooler
  6. Can you point to a single instance where Burfict made a play to win a game? And the greatest players on Earth don't want to knock people out, they want them active for the entire game so they can impose their will and dominate them. Burfict has been a microcosm of the Cincinnati Bengals 2008 - to present, and its gotten the Bengals nothing, and wasted some years in which they had arguably the most talent in the NFL
  7. ^It's like he can't help himself
  8. I know this wouldn't be the moneymaker of a full blown development - but I think pairing at least a portion of that parking lot with the aquarium and towpath would be great. A carve-out could be made with the river and an aquatic center could be made, dedicated to the wildlife past and present that calls the Cuyahoga home - this would be interactive and hopefully under the Metroparks umbrella. This 501c3(presumably) could spearhead fundraising efforts for cleaning and dredging the river and fighting off invasive species. It would be a great incentive to keep the water taxi alive and could be a great destination for tour groups, field trips, and family trips downtown in the summer. This would be a limited footprint, and the Nautica Development could still happen, just on a slightly scaled back version - which would probably be better anyways.
  9. My horror story is waiting in a Lyft for 42 minutes near the roundabout - It took me 51 minutes to get from Beerhead to Franklin and W. 29th last spring around 12:30am
  10. Catch 22 is that public transit to FEB will never be a viable option until driving or ride-sharing become untenable.
  11. They've broke ground on townhomes about a block or two away from me at 52nd and Franklin... Those this may actually be D-S?

A couple things: 1. Baker has had a terrific season. He has proven to everyone that there will not be nor should there be a QB controversy in Cleveland in the foreseeable future. However, while we certainly have reason to be excited, let's not crown him the heir apparent to TB12 just yet. 2. We're all going to have to come to terms with the fact that the Browns will be expected to win 10+ games next year. That's a new feeling lol.
  13. Call me crazy, but I think sitting and waiting for a coporate HQ in the Parking Lot District is a losing strategy. I would love to see Weston develop those lots into something like brownstones - ranging from $400k-$600k... you could have one row of home facing W. 3rd, splice the parking lot into two, and continue W. 4th through the parking lots. This would have a set of brownstones facing W. 3rd, with an alleyway-garage path behind, and another facing W. 4th. On the other portion of the parking lot, you could do the same, with one set facing W. 6th, and the other facing W. 4th. Having equity in residences in this area is, imo, equally as important as corporate tenants for the area's sustainability. Safety concerns could be limited with the formation of an HOA and a 24/7 security staff. Maybe I'm crazy, but most cities have residences in their downtown.
  14. ^Shacktivity, if you will
  15. We're always looking for new buyers in my neighborhood @KJP .. four active renovations on my block alone, and still affordable ?
  16. The density in these few blocks between Franklin and Clinton is fantastic.
  17. No, cleaning the house before the house cleaner comes... that's bourgeois

No, most people my generation are willing to spend more on sustainably sourced, fresh, sometime organic, GMO-free, etc. foods than the generations before us. Seems to be a smart, long-term move considering most of us won't have social security or medicaid to rely on by the time we're 60

Yeah I mean I can use one. But all tuna I've purchased in the last 3 years has been either raw or in a vacuumed bag.
  20. I'd just like to say this too... A 1 mile walk to Dave's in Ohio City is NOT the same as a 1 mile walk with groceries in most Midtown neighborhoods.
  21. Sign of a grizzled veteran lol. That's the only acceptable entrance. But yeah. The birds chirping is a nice sound. Them swooping close to me when I have a muffin, not so much.
  22. I especially like the half dozen or so birds that lob wet turds on attorneys in suits and family members of inmates and/or defendants already having a pretty bad day lol
  23. As someone who frequents that building, I pray to God no one redevelops it... but rather, implodes the sucker, buries all remnants of the building at least 600 ft below ground, then treat it the same way as we would an Indian burial ground, avoid it and respect all lost souls that remain on site.

Can you refill a lantern with whale blubber?
  25. I know many of you disagree with me, and you might be right - but Stark barked about this project far too much with way too many variables still outstanding. Other projects are getting done in the state right now, and three 20+ story buildings will have been completed in 2018 and 2019 in Cleveland alone (Beacon [Also Stark btw], Lumen, and 1UC). Obviously the Stark's know far more than I ever will about the real estate market in Cleveland, but I feel that they very clearly jumped the gun here. Promising much before knowing if that promise was even feasible. I was in my first year of law school when NuCLEus was announced, I'm now in my second year of practice, and we're seemingly FURTHER away from it happening.
