  1. ^But what is the development going to be?
  2. Can anyone privy me to what is happening at 41st and Lorain. I must have missed those comments a few pages back
  3. I was just joking @KJP the joke was targeted at NIMBY reactions, not your reporting of it.

Officiating didn't lose us that game. We have the talent to be 6-1 and have coached our way to 2-4-1.
  5. Heard some very cool news about this project over the weekend. It will expand, ambitiously, in scale and target tenants over the next 3-5 years - and this isn't just talk, actions are already being taken. Very exciting.

“If I’m not with the first team why don’t y’all just trade me?”
  7. My firm will block book rooms in Columbus days in which we have hearings and/or trials down there, I don't know of anyone that actually stays though. I think: A) 50,000 students with parents and family B) Being the seat of government C) Having a stadium that draws 105,000 people 6x a year, not including concerts. D) Centralized testing location really makes for a perfect storm there.
  8. Literally just walked in and looked around. Xhibition opened today as well.
  9. I went to Hiram College. Love the suggestion, thanks!
  10. Hey guys, told the fiance we could go to a pumpkin patch this Saturday. If I'm going to go to one of these things, I'd like to get out of Cuyahoga County. Any suggestions on a good one within an hour drive from downtown?
  11. Ha! We might butt heads when I put in my garage...
  12. To be fair, I bought knowing that things might move slowly. That's what a security system and german shepard are for though haha. Nonetheless, I've never seen anyone at that discount auto lot - employees or customers. I hope its inevitable that the development down Detroit connects Ohio City and Detroit Shoreway. My side of the street is OC, my neighbors across the street are DS, we even have different councilmen representing us.
  13. He is a talker, I eat there 2-3x a week and last week I overheard “The CIA is planting evidence right now so the Communist Left can take over.” And I don’t do criminal, so no need really.
  14. Lol, HEAVILY under construction. I'm living in saw dust
  15. I hope it's a development play, my house is literally one parcel away from being in that image.
  16. Haha. I honestly have the OPPOSITE problem when I'm in there. Everytime I'm there I get suckered into buying something because I really want them to make it.
  17. @Dougal I hear ya, but I don't think yellow ages well. Just think of what we would say to the architects of the Justice Center, the 9, and the Celebreeze Federal Building if we could transport ourselves back. They Keith Building, the Key Tower, Terminal Tower, 200 Public Square, One Cleveland... While each building may not be a personal favorite, there is a reason they are still aesthetically pleasing 20, 30, 40, 50+ years after construction.
  18. Driving home on the 490 bridge today I realized what an impact this made on the volume of the skyline. Absolutely unreal the amount of gaps this building fills in from about 4-5 different perspectives
  19. I feel like Geiger’s badly needs the boost
  20. Hotel, restaurant, and event venue too
  21. I think farmers (not farms) will continue to be less and less in demand - sans seasonal workers for some crops. A single family can now farm successfully what would have taken 20 people in 1960. Beyond that, without transportation infrastructure, there is not much growth opportunity for any of these people 40+ miles from one of the three C's. It's a shame, and I know this will draw blowback on URBANohio, but there is a certain simplicity to rural America that I find charming and admirable. I understand why people of means used to retreat to country estates on the weekend. Maybe having a garden for the first time this year makes this nostalgic for me, but I really do believe there's much to be admired about a more simple, agrarian lifestyle. I hope that doesn't die out in my generation - though maybe it already has.
  22. Leaves his house at 4:15 every morning.
  23. ^I know someone that commutes from just South of Schenectady NY to NYC everyday on a train
