  1. I think we're really well placed if Frontier ever decides to make a move at the majors.
  2. ^Lol. My "city it lies in" comment was a quip, not being serious. My apologies.

I was surprised to see Sherrod Brown's name on a Renacci attack ad alleging pay-offs and bribes. The claims are substantiated, but Sherrod has let PACs throw those punches for him in the past.

Well, you guys. I'm torn between two camps. I love biking myself and want a more bike friendly city... but on the other hand (and I expressed these frustrations in the scooter thread) I am growing tired of excuses for bikers in the road not following traffic laws, most notably blowing through red lights. Came to a head last night when I was at the corner of 25th and Detroit, on the Southeast side of the street (currently vacant). I was walking back from my fiance's and was whistling to myself. I got the crosswalk to head to the Southwest corner of the intersection and began walking - the green light favored Detroit in both directions - and was shortly thereafter struck by a bicyclist's handlebars into my side. Thankfully I missed the pedals to my legs - also, I'm 6'3" 210 lbs, so the biker stumbled/fell off the bike. After getting balanced again, he had the stones to ask me if I wasn't aware that this was a bike lane. To which I pointed him to the crosswalk, which now had the red blinking light at "14" on the countdown. All in all, I'm fine, save a small bruise. But man oh man this is wearing on my patience. I've deliberately become more cognizant of bikers when turning right on red - and want to do my part to make the city more bike friendly. But I swear some of these bikers assume the entire roadway is theirs. Which, I would assume, leads to a massive swell of confidence that would allow some of these chodes to wear skin tight biker, spandex uniforms to go for a 3 mile ride around Ohio City. Vent over.
  6. It was nice. Festival vibe with good crowds without having to deal with the "I'm here to experiment with molly and pass out on the lawn" sort of people you see at Lolapalooza or Bonnaroo
  7. Pinney should run. He's independently successful, has access to business and thought leaders, and isn't scared to call out inefficiencies, even at the highest levels
  8. There was no private industry in the USSR, so someone has been watching Fox News for their business and economics lessons. USSR = friend now. Remember, we did it too, you guys. That's FoxNews now - no economics or business to be found unless Kayleigh McEnany is on to pimp "unemployment is at its lowest ever since careers were invented. This stat is indisputable."
  9. Here now and went yesterday. Place was packed after dark last night. Looking like the same tn, as SZA and the Avett Browthers are by far the biggest draws

No, they don't. But they do know when someone is trying to show off their football knowledge. ;) Lol, everyone on the field***** I just love football. Honestly thinking of doing a high school game tour tonight.
  11. This probably belongs in the Medical Mart thread, n'est pas?

The defenses are vanilla in the preseason too. Right, but offense are reactive. An offense has a lot more to hide than a defense. Everyone knows 3rd and medium will likely draw a boundary/zone/dog blitz combo from the boundary or a field/man/over type scheme from the field. You can disguise cover 2 and roll safeties, but the assignments don't change after the snap. On offense, you often don't know what route you're running or who you're blocking until after the ball is snapped.

I actually think we'll be surprised. Things we have not seen which WILL happen - but can't be put on film yet. 1. Duke Johnson playing in 12 and 22 personnel as a second back or slot receiver. 2. Njoku - against Cover 0 and Cover 1 - flexing to the boundary side of the field isolated with a linebacker. 3. G,T pulling combos. Right now, I noticed our offense is working on a lot of pin blocks (guard down blocking on 0, 1, or 2 technique and the center pulling around, or T blocking down on 3, 4, or 5 technique and guard pulling [in the season we will see this inversely with tackles and guards pulling through holes]) but for the time being our man blocking schemes have been vanilla. 4. Josh Gordon.
  15. Has Cleveland banned them? They were everywhere and now I can't find them
  16. Tax credits do not cost anything to the public up front, though.

  20. ^^Easy to see why several neighborhoods in Philly remain mob-controlled. Hard to miss any action in that intimate of surroundings.
  21. ^I think Cincinnati has the most, by far, in the state.

  23. Right, most of what we have is either in disrepair on the East side, or somewhat gimmicky. With the exception of these in Ohio City. https://www.google.com/maps/@41.4877463,-81.7123371,3a,75y,99.99h,94.8t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sdK2xpN7Wu1xvaHGE5rn9jQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
  24. And now Cleveland's row homes scattered throughout Tremont, Duck Island, Ohio City, and Detroit Shoreway also seem to fall into some pseudo rowhome purgatory
