Mantua, Ohio
My personal favorite is Bellefontaine near Columbus... pronounced Bell-fountain. I believe Mantua pronounced correctly would be MAN-choo-uh.
-
Columbus: Downtown: Highpoint / Columbus Commons
Agree on the fact that they need a fountain and some public art. Also agree that they should focus more on making this a pleasant place to congregate downtown, and let the subsequent commercial/residential development occur naturally around the park in all the vacant parking lots/half-occupied buildings.

Mantua, Ohio
Had a roommate in college at OSU from Mantua... took me forever to figure out what city he was from because of how he pronounced the name of the city... man-oo-ay.

Pittsburgh Part IV Mt. Washington, Shadyside (housing) and Night shots
This looks like it could be straight out of SoCal! Not saying that is a good thing... I prefer a lot of the older homes around it. Mt Washington is a great place to see the city skyline... Pittsburgh certainly doesn't disappoint.

So weird to see High St with no skybridge... good riddance.
-
Columbus: Scioto Mile Riverfront Park News
Columbus is perfecting the art of building grand bridges that cover short spans. Lane Ave bridge seemed to start the trend.
-
Dublin: Bridge Park / Bridge Street District Developments and News
I guess when I said suburban, I really meant "outter-ring" suburbs. I agree that Grandview and Bexley have pretty strong historic districts. I didn't realize UA had an area like that...?
-
OSU: New Ohio Union and parking garage
It's Fisher College of Business inspired.
-
Columbus: Huntington Park (Clippers ballpark)
Agree 100% Who cares what the city looks like from miles away... it's all about the street level!
-
Columbus: Students pitch ways to better city
LOL @ sandy beaches at North Bank Park. Apparently these urban planning students aren't aware of the city's sewage overflow system which dumps waste water into the river after heavy rains. You couldn't pay me to swim in that water.
