The main street architecture reminds me of a lot of the old west towns out in California.

Columbus, Ohio: Seat of Franklin County; Capital of the Buckeye State
 Wow, all the county seats in one year! Nice job! I have to admit though... this Columbus thread is a bit depressing. Maybe it's just the weather.

Los Angeles, 2008
The traffic is definately a pain in the ass. I've learned how to deal with it for the most part. The key is to live in a neighborhood where you can walk to most of the things you need, and not have to drive to far to work. Also living near to major bus lines is helpful. If you're going to drive a significant distance, do it on off hours or use back streets when you hit freeway congestion. The back streets usually flow pretty well. They are working slowly to improve the rail system too (Expo Line) which will eventually help.

Los Angeles, 2008
In response to Cincinnatus, LA is very difficult to grasp without spending a substantial amount of time here. I was initially drawn to living here by the mix of nice year round weather, the beach culture, and the urban environment... the mountains were just an added bonus. As I've lived here and have gotten to know the city better and explore many facets of it, I've come to appreciate the diversity of people that exists here, the randomness of the neighborhoods, and the urban density that isn't aparent from aerials of the city. It's a love it or hate it city, that's for sure. The city has many flaws... just like all of us do. I however, have fallen into the love with LA!

Columbus: Weinland Park Developments and News
This is the last piece of the puzzle in connecting DT to OSU with continuously nice areas. Very important. Kroger getting redeveloped is a major milestone.

Columbus Crew Discussion
Good to finally see some success coming to the Crew. If I know Columbus... that attendance will shoot up really quickly if they keep up their winning ways.

Chicago
I like the atmosphere of the photos since the weather is dreary. Trump's new tower has come pretty far along!
-
Dennison Place, Columbus
When I would walk from my apartment in Harrison West to the Lennox Town Center I would also make a point to go through this neighborhood. It is a very pleasant area indeed.

Santa looks like a real bad ass. Library and post office look nice. What's the story with all the quaker references? Quaker Foundation... Quaker Theater...

Philadelphia & Washington DC, 2008
That Philadelphia set was awesome. Was a lot of that around Society Hill and South Street?

That game last night was insane! What a final!

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Basketball Discussion
Buckeyes peaked too late... imagine if they had made it to the NCAA tourney and played like this. I would think they could have at least made the Sweet 16.

Medina, Ohio: Seat of Medina County
That doesn't look bad, not bad at all!

CLEVELAND - Why not!
Not a bad set at all. Love that first photo!

Columbus: Restaurant News & Info
Best pizza is either Hounddogs or Rotolos. Massey's? Please... that's insulting.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I perceived that article as saying, "things are looking pretty good, but we can't slack off now and let some loose ends prevent this from materializing." Totally a practical way of thinking.

Detroit
The building in that second photo looks like a real fixer upper opportunity.
