It is a 1bd/1ba, and I live with my fiance. In terms of SqFt I have no idea, but it's quite spacious. I may be able to snap some interior photos sometime soon.
  2. Who here remembers when J&G diner was in the Short North? That used to be my old favorite when I was testing the urban waters as a former suburbanite.
  3. ^ Bexley, not Grandview Heights...
  4. A little powerwashing should do the trick, and won't cost a whole lot either.

$1,325/mo. It seems steep, but, the pay scale is quite different out here. To compare it to Midwest prices is kind of an apples to oranges relationship.
  6. The first photo below is a train from the UK. The second photo is the US. The UK train still looks more sophisticated but the gap isn't as wide as I had thought it was.
  7. Louisville seems to be taking a very risky approach to their downtown development. Instead of playing it safe with standard developments they are building the "Jenga" tower and this crazy looking growth on top of some nice old school buildings. I give them credit for being bold, but hopefully the reward is as high as the risk.

I live in this building.. One block South of this intersection... Three and a half miles East of here.

  10. I can't help but to laugh every time I see an Amtrak locomotive... they are decades behind what the rest of the world is using.

    I was expecting Seattle!

Hey, I'll have you know I went to a Kings game Saturday night with my fiance and we took the SUBWAY.
  13. Good old 20/20 hindsight. I imagine they had to have a reason for removing these things back when they did. Did the politicians not expect the population to boom like it has?

The owner of MotorTime would notice... I promise you that.
  15. He may be an unethical bastard.... but he was also one hell of a professor. I had him for my Intro to Marketing and it was one of the best classes I had at OSU. What a shame...
  16. My differential threw a pin in the Chicken District and I was stranded there for quite a while. It was sub-zero temps and dusk. Good times...
  17. I'm glad I moved to LA, eating in Columbus just got too damn expensive! ;)
  18. I long for the day when people come to realize on this forum how futile it is to debate with CDM....
  19. Yeah, KCGridlock is pretty much the man when it comes to photography at SSP. He has access to helicopter and planes, plus he has awesome equipment. It's well worth checking out the photos on his website. He also said he's going to be doing Cleveland this summer... now what about Columbus!?

I heard he moved to Stryker...
  21. I agree 100%. As a non-Clevelander and perhaps a bit more objective, I've never felt threatened in Littly Italy. I also find it to be quite charming, and it has an authentic non-touristy feel to it which I enjoy.
  22. Wow, legislation like this, if passed, would put Ohio one step closer to Utah...

Well, I'm happy LA at least beat Fresno... that's all that really matters.
  24. Millworks always struck me as being Cincinnati's true shot at getting a good mixed-use center of Easton caliber. Is that project still even on the table? I don't see much buzz about it on this site...
  25. ^He does have a point... Toronto has streetcars AND a subway. San Fran has streetcars AND a subway AND light rail AND commuter rail. Streetcars to be most effective as anything more than a mere novelty have the be intergrated with a more comprehensive network. Alone they are a bit too limited to be the backbone of a transportation system. One could argue that buses would get people to the streetcars... but does anyone really buy that people will take the BUS?
