^The freeway has been obliterated by KJP in the name of High Speed Rail.

Other States: Passenger Rail News
In the website I listed below you can find more information about the California High Speed Rail Authority, including route information. http://www.cahighspeedrail.ca.gov/ The Governator's opposition to the rail initiative, I believe, will lose out to the people's desire for a better transportation alternative.

I think you guys will really enjoy the following video. It discusses the High Speed Rail issue that will be on the California ballots in 2008. I believe that this proposal will be endorsed by voters due to how bad transportation has gotten in this state. Hopefully this will be a catalyst to development in other parts of the country once they see it successfully up and running. http://www.kqed.org/quest/television/view/113

Great job UncleRando. Looks like you had a lot of fun in Chicago! Definately agree that some of the night shots are Blade Runner-esque.

11 Top Underground Transit Systems in the World
Fun stuff, I love taking subways and light rail. I can attest to the London Underground being a great system... Londoners couldn't live without it.

^That really sucks... jurors should have a right to privacy so they won't be influenced by concern over how the public will react to their verdict.

^I just hope they leave the 2008 bond vote on the ballet so the voters, not the politicians, can decide what's best for us. God know we need a better alternative to freeways in California. We drove from Sacramento to SF yesterday and it took us 3 hours to get there. By train it would have taken about 45 mins to an hour. With the forecasted increases in population/traffc and the incresed costs of expanding strained airports, we need a BETTER ALTERNATIVE. Not to mention the environmental benefit...

CLEVELAND - 26 Snowy Pics
Yeah, it's interesting that since Cleveland has a few towers which really stand out when viewed from a distance, it takes your eye away from all the mid-rise development and gives the downtown a less dense appearance than what is actually the case. LA has the same thing going on as the towers around Bunker Hill draw the eye away from all the dense mid-rise development East of the core. All in all, superb job!

NFL: General News & Discussion
Yeah, that was one of the best half-time shows in a while. And as far as the game is concerned, I'd say the score is closer than the actual game was. The Colts dominated that one.

^I seriously hope that the HSR in California pans out... but I think it's going to stall out in the political mire at some point. The Governator is already trying to hamstring it in his next budget.

San Diego Nightlife (20 pictures)
I was down in San Diego last weekend and it's a great place to visit. The downtown is very, very healthy and there is some beautiful natural scenery. I can't believe you got those shots without a tripod... Lots of Gaslamp Quarter in there? Little Italy is nice too.
