Ford slashes 10,000 more jobs, 2 plants By TOM KRISHER, Associated Press Writer DETROIT - Ford Motor Co. said Friday that it plans to cut 10,000 more salaried jobs, offer buyouts to all hourly workers and shut down two more plants as part of a dramatic restructuring plan designed to rein in expenses and restore the struggling automaker to profitability. The company said in a news release that it would shutter a stamping plant in Maumee, Ohio, in 2008 and an engine plant in Essex, Ontario, in 2007. In addition, an assembly plant in Norfolk, Va., will close in 2007, a year earlier than previously announced. Columbus needs City Center destroyed, and a magnificent monument to ColDay erected in its place. This would truly inspire all her citizens to greatness.

This would be an interesting idea, currently the Ohio Village is underutilitized. It would be nice to see some kind of Columbus Musuem of History integrated with Ohio Village and the Ohio Historical Society. People need to have the opportunity to see where Columbus came from, to be able to see what is possible in the future.

Lord know CMOA can use all the help it can get. Our Art Musuem pales in comparison to most other major cities in Ohio...

I'm not sure what Wal-Marts you've been visiting... Lewis Center, Canal Winchester, Stringtown, and Georgesville all blow Meijer away in terms of store quality. Wal-Mart consistently beats Meijer in pricing as well. The only thing Meijer does better is their ethnic food aisle.

I think Wal-Mart is light years ahead of Meijer, and Meijer will eventually be a victim of Wal-Mart expansionism.

Ended up going to the BWs in Kenwood because Mulligan's was too damn crowded. My fiance and I have gone to that BWs before and it is usually dead, but it was packed with OSU fans this time!

We are staying in Silverton so Mulligan's sounds like a decent option
