Your desk looks just a smidge too tidy... like it is a showroom or something. You need to like turn the calculator on its side or something ;)

    ^ Japan? Sweeeet.
  6. This thread is making me just want to pack my bags and move to Cleveland! Monte, I don't know what part of LA you saw, but I didn't think it was nearly as bad as you do. I've never seen San Fran though, and from the photos on here it looks pretty spectacular.
  7. It is, isn't it?

  10. Monclova rezoning advocated Toledo Blade, 7/26/06 A zoning change for a proposed nursing home in Monclova Township was recommended for approval yesterday by the Lucas County Plan Commission. Otterbein Retirement Living Communities is planning to build a care center on a 9.5-acre parcel at 5083 Black Rd. The zoning change recommendation will go to the township's zoning commission for review. The commission will make a recommendation to township trustees, who have final say on the zoning change.
  11. Hey, if First Industrial bought the portfolio, hopefully they have redevelopment plans for it. This could be great news for Cleveland. The company I work for bought a bunch of distressed shopping centers from Glimcher, and we've fixed a bunch up and sold them off. The Hunter's Ridge redevelopment in Gahanna is an example. The K-Mart went dark there, then Glimcher backed out, and people could have started wringing there hands at that point. However, we bought it, signed a deal with Kroger to build a Marketplace where the old K-Mart was, and are redoing completely the 30 year old facade of the shopping center. Sometimes change of ownership is good!!!

  14. I did indeed misunderstand your intent. My apologies. :)

It has a conservative history dating back to Puritanism... but these days you'll be hard pressed to find Massachusetts voting as a red state. Go there and form some opinions on personal observation, that's your best bet!

If you go to LA looking for a city in the traditional sense... you will probably be disappointed. If you want that, go to San Diego or San Fran. LA is best digested in pieces, instead of trying to process the whole. You can spend a day in Santa Monica, Venice, Pasadena, Anaheim, Long Beach, downtown, Griffith Park, the OC, the Valley, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, etc... Each is it's own unique city, that combined as a whole contribute to LA's greater appeal as a city.

Adam, even though Monte is on your case, you should check out the Milwaukee gallery on his website. Best Milwaukee photo tour, ever! You can access his site, CincyImages, through the signature line on his post.

Boston is one of the most aesthetically pleasing urban cores I've ever seen. When I was there it was just so clean and the historic building were very well preserved.
  20. $450,000 for 1,200 sqft... I'm moving to the suburbs... :-o $375/sqft, wow!
  21. I was actually more interested in downtown land area vs. total metro population.
  22. My fiance and I took our first trip to the Hocking Hills today and checked out a bunch of the areas contained therein. I must say I was absolutely amazed at how cool this place was. I enjoyed everything I saw there so much that I can't decide what my favorite part was. So, I'm curious to see what all of your opinions are... tell me what your favorite area is!
  23. Keep taking sexy photos of Indianapolis and this should be financed in no time!
