Help! Need Pittsburgh advice!
So I'm taking a three day weekend in Pittsburgh this weekend with my fiance to visit her Grandmother and I want to set aside a day to do a self-guided tour of the city. I have NO clue where to go or what to see. :? Any advice on a good route to take for exploring the city? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Miami: Dead Downtown
I find Bowling Green to be quite depressing... the school that is.... I did this thing in High School called Buckeye Boys State @ BGSU. It was like a summer camp where we all grouped up in artificial cities, got jobs or elected as officials, and set up governments. It was pretty cool. I've got a feeling some other people on here had to be in this as well.... being all civic minded and all. The experience was great, the campus did not impress.

Columbus: General Transit Thread
Fortunately Coleman's streetcar plan is independant of COTA. Therefore, this really does not have an impact on streetcar development in Columbus. Coleman stopped counting on COTA quite some time ago... rightfully so...

Cincinnati: OTR: North Main Street Discussion
This is such a depressing thread! In Columbus things seem to be the opposite of Cincinnati. Downtown neighborhoods are growing and plans for more growth are in place. Whenever I visit Cincinnati I'm always taken back by the sheer natural beauty of the area, and all the wonderful neighborhoods within. I just don't understand why people are so eager to leave... :wtf:

Stauf's in Grandview is the place to be... or the Mojoe Lounge in the Short North. Wow this thread has degenerated.

Columbus: Crime & Safety Discussion
The East end definately has a lion's share of the homicides. The West side homicides seem to be focused in the Bottoms and the Hilltop. No big surprises here if you follow the local news.

Cincy - 'round Central Pkwy & misc
I'm absolutely dumbfounded by the amount of amazing architecture in OTR and the state of the neighborhood. For the love of god, let's get it fixed up!

Price Hill
Well I went to Price Hill but didn't end up getting chili... Alas we had already eaten lunch up at Mt. Adams. I had a hard time finding the nicer parts of Price Hill, a lot of it seemed a bit run down. Is that just the vibe of the area or are there parts maybe I missed? On a side note, I went to Mariemont for the first time today... and it was by far one of the coolest hoods I've seen in Ohio. If anyone hasn't seen it... go see it!
