  1. Columbus Commons? I'm with Walker... make the ground level facing the alley more integrated.
  2. This is one building that I am glad is NOT any taller. Don't want that to be the signature building and overshadow Leveque.
  3. I stand by my belief that the best bikerack in the country is the one in Coventry that's sculpted to look like a woman getting mugged and having her purse stolen. Has anyone on here ever taken a photo of that thing?
  4. I always felt the arcade was a sure fire way to wow visitors. A new development that would excite me would be a rejunevation of the flats.
  5. You bring up a very good point here. The neighborhood in its new form has never had the vibrancy the old neighborhood had. There used to be an arcade there too called The Silver Ball, I believe... and then there was The Spot...

Wow, such a lush backdrop for this great collection of homes. Never knew Mansfield had anything like this. Thanks for sharing!
  7. Thanks Thomas! Are there any rendering showing what the garage's facade will consist of? It would be nice if they used the same materials from the exterior of 303 Broadway to tie the whole project together.
  8. What's being built to the north of the tower on the rest of that parcel of land? A parking structure?
  9. That seems really pointless to me... and there are already urban roundabouts in the neighborhood bordered by 5th, King, Neil, and Perry.
  10. You should do a thread on the Linden neighborhood next!
  11. Wow, now THAT's how to commute with style.
  12. So where's all the lakes we hear so much about???
  13. That's some fantastic stuff there... I wish I would have gotten to live in DC past the age of 11 so I could have appreciated it more!
  14. It's like Victorian Village on steroids... love it!
  15. Never really went to Parsons in my many years living in Columbus... doesn't look like I missed out on too much. Thanks for sharing these photos!
  16. That's terrible news regarding Handke's! Fine dining in Columbus definately takes a hit with the loss of that place... :(
  17. That building is going to be done in the blink of an eye... once they start going vertical like that things pick up steam.
  18. The renovated crown of Terminal Tower looks absolutely amazing! These cruise photos are becoming something of an annual tradition on here. Thanks for sharing!
  19. Tell me about it... when I was a student 6 years ago we still had Larkins Hall...
  20. ^ Wow, you sound a little bit bitter about NYC's evolution. You bring an interesting perspective to the forum as it differs from the usual NYC cheerleading we usually get. From looking at these photos, this looks like a really beautiful public works project. I can only imagine if they built this in LA how quickly the vandals would ruin it. Is this less of an issue in NYC? This is a really good example for adaptive reuse and I'd imagine this will work wonders for the values of the surrounding properties. Thanks for sharing these photos with us mrNYC!

As far as suburbs go... Worthington ain't that bad. Granted, most of these shots appear to be from the historic district.

Thanks for posting the tour de Columbus! Making me a little homesick :( What Columbus lacks in its downtown it more than makes up for in its adjacent neighborhoods.
  23. Not to be a b!tch, but you must've missed my tour 6 months ago: http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,18117.0.html Okay, that was a little b!tchy. You expect me to remember what I saw 6 months ago? I can hardly remember even 6 weeks ago! :-D
  24. Very cool, I've never seen that area posted on the forums before. Thanks for sharing!
  25. Wow, is all this development in OTR focused in one specific area of the neighborhood or is is spead throughout? If OTR is truly starting to realize its potential, that would be more exciting to me than the Banks and QCS put together! Nothing will help out downtown more than a healthy OTR.
