  1. Good crowd, over 16k.
  2. Some days it doesn't even have a single commercial flight?
  3. snakebite replied to a post in a topic in Sports Talk
Much better fit in the Eastern Conference.
  4. Do you mean Arizona? They haven't played in St. Louis since 1987 No the baseball team and what they are doing with Ballpark Village.
  5. Matchday attendance should be the least of their worries, IMO.
  6. Last time I was in the Lakewood Chipotle it almost queued out the door at 8pm.
  7. They have to try and run the stadium like a business. The problem is, its used for, what, 10 Browns games a season plus a handful of other events? I'm seeing other teams like the St. Louis Cardinals, the Jacksonville Jaguars realising theres more to a stadium than simply just gameday. When I did the tour of Lambeau Field they highlighted this perfectly. I'd even be offering it out for peanuts to a minor league soccer team. Simply because it'll make use of the stadium and bring people into the area. Its sitting there idly and wastefully.
  8. It still shows up on Horizon Group Properties' web site: http://www.horizongroup.com/leasing/default.aspx I recall the plan is different now, however. In what way?
  9. Is the Lakefront outlet mall project dead? First announced in July 2016 and nothing since.
  10. I'd love to see how the books are balanced at the Lakefront Airport with about a couple of dozen weekly commercial flights on small aircrafts and only an additional handful of cargo flights.
  11. Is the Outlet Mall proposal dead? I noticed that a proposal from the company behind this withdrew from a project in Connecticut due to issues with lending in the retail market. Been nothing on this since it was first mooted in July 2016.
  12. Like others I'm kinda sceptical on the retail side of things. Retailers are dropping like flies all over the country. Some like Apple and H&M seem to be doing well and expanding but I'm not sure they will consider this. Then you've got the other surrounding malls and thoroughfares and the proposed Lakefront Outlet.
  13. Will the Cleveland Live! thing be like the Fox Sports Midwest Live! thing at Ballpark Village in St. Louis?
  14. Sacramento look pretty ready. I'm guessing St. Louis will get a spot, but I honestly don't get the fuss, outside of the Cards they aren't the best in terms of fan support and during the summer you will be competing directly against the Cardinals for people's money. I suppose its the corporate money behind them and the likelihood of the stadium generated from the pain of losing the Rams that will drive this through. The other two are anyone's guess. I think Detroit and Dan Gilbert will get something sorted and its the biggest market now without so they will get one, maybe in the next round. Perhaps also Cincy. I think they would be wise though to go the NBA route and avoiding cities without much direct competition from other leagues, which means picking cities without MLB teams, but I don't see them being too heavily influenced by that.
  15. Any update on the outlet mall proposal? Seem to be all very quiet since the initial news way back in July....
