great to hear. . . i just heard that it was sold. I think it has done an amazing job at bringing life back into a pretty dreary town.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Renaissance Hotel (Bartlett Building Redevlopment)
I'm sure he was slightly exaggerating on the 50% number. But i think his point is that Cincinnati may not be able to handle another hotel.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Renaissance Hotel (Bartlett Building Redevlopment)
Not to burst the bubble… I was talking to a friend of mine who works for Marriott. His job go around and open the new Hotels around the country. He said that this would have been on his radar if it were anywhere near beginning. He almost joked about the thought of Cincinnati getting another Hotel. His exact words were “yah, like we will open another hotel that operates at 50% capacity”. He did say that they had made worse moves before, and that it may happen, If it hasn’t made it to him yet, it probably isn’t that far along in the process. :x

I don't think Bill Butler is much of a lip service kind of guy... I have a feeling that if he says this thing is happening, it's Happening... IMO

First off Stratford is no where near full... they hover right around that 75-80% mark. :| There is nothing to stop Towne from developing apartments aimed at students, the thing that they are going to have to contend with is the fact that UP and Stratford are University Supported housing, meaning that they students are allowed to live there freshman year. Until the University sees Stratford Full, they probably would not support MORE student housing. Also, the dorms are officially full already for next year, as is UP. Stratford is the only university housing available for students who don't have housing yet. The cards would definitely be stacked against Towne if they tried to go the student housing route without University support (financially and legal).

They do plan on keeping most of the bricks. They plan to use them on this project, if needed. Also, i love this project it seems like Model is really taking a step in the right direction by moving the rehab up vine. They are almost all the way to Kroger, and there is talk of redoing the other side of the street all the way up to Smitty's. EXCITING!
