Cincinnati: Downtown: Development and News
Hamilton County employees (myself being one) got an email today about this before it hit the news. Just some extra tidbits from our internal email from Jeff Aluotto: I am recommending that the Board purchase the building located in Bond Hill as the future home of Job and Family Services, Developmental Disabilities Services, Environmental Services, Public Health, Office of Addiction Response and the Veterans Service Commission. The new, modern-amenity facility hosts ample free and secure parking, improved workspace, flexible collaborative spaces designed for teamwork and comfort, in the geographic center of Hamilton County. The enhanced facility offers employee-centered features including a 278-seat cafeteria, walking path, outdoor eating areas, optimized natural light, all in a central location convenient to interstates. Commissioners are expected to formally consider the proposal later this summer. If approved, the above departments will move in a phased approach tentatively beginning in the fall of 2025.

Cincinnati: Bond Hill / Roselawn: Development and News
What a joke. It's strange because, couldn't the apartments just only have an entrance/exit on Seymour? The residents of these new apartments wouldn't even be able to drive through the daybreak. This also right across the Roselawn Village apartments, which I am sure have plenty of low income individuals. Traffic? That stretch of Seymour is begging for a road diet, the only time the traffic is remotely bad there is during some major event at the Reds youth academy fields.

Warren County: Development and News
All the Mormon churches you see around are called meetinghouses and have weekly services like a normal church. Anyone can enter a meetinghouse and worship. A temple is for only Mormons who are invited. I am not sure what the exact requirements are but basically it's good standing + length of being a Mormon. It is also where special Mormon ceremonies can only take place like a weeding, baptism, funeral, etc

Cincinnati: Complete Streets, Road Diets, and Traffic Calming
It was again confirmed at this months PRCC meeting that one is coming this year. Not sure if the DOTE website is not correct or the PRCC leaders and stating it incorrectly. You can see how it was written in the post-meeting notes below. I guess time will tell.

Cincinnati: Complete Streets, Road Diets, and Traffic Calming
It was announced this week at the Pleasant Ridge CC meeting that new 4 speed humps (one per lane) would be placed along Montgomery Road where the Library and non-profit Community Happens Here are located. Google Maps Link. DOTE stated they would be installed "by the end of the year." There are also ongoing talks with the city to remove the rush hour lanes through the biz district and make it 24-hour parking.

I have no strong opinion one way or the other regarding an NHL team, but the Bengals/Reds pull fans from huge swaths of Ohio and Kentucky. Below are the Radio Networks:

cincydave8 replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentThe county got pretty strong push back from downtown restaurants when it talked about moving employees. While it still could happen, seems unlikely at this point.
