Cleveland: Downtown: Rockefeller Building Rehab-Additions
That video gave me some anxiety 😆

Cleveland: Historic Photos
😄 AI is good at some stuff but its pretty bad at trying to generate the past because it's fed so much current day data.

Cleveland: Downtown: Rockefeller Building Rehab-Additions
I work across the street. Looks like some work is being done to board up the place. I notice that the Fire Marshall posted warnings as well due to the elevator shaft and dangerous basement.

Cleveland: Downtown: Rockefeller Building Rehab-Additions
I found that I am social media friends with the persons in the photo. I was scrolling my feed one day and bam, the person in question popped up. Really good way to show you are trespassing.

Cleveland: Downtown: Rockefeller Building Rehab-Additions
Nah, we thought that(Our office is above CLE Chop). They were hanging off of the HVAC equipment, and taking photos of each other wearing a "cape". They were pretty reckless. That was my thought as well. It's pretty bustling today because of the tailgaters, SW work and the impending Browns game later.

Cleveland: Downtown: Rockefeller Building Rehab-Additions
Some part of me believes this video is what has caused them to actually go forward and brick up some of the entrances. Its a cool video, the guys are kinda dumb for going in without proper PPE and going into some of the dangerous parts of the basement which could be unstable.

Took a walk during lunch and it looks like the Detriot Ave Entrance is being walled off with cinderblocks. Reminds me a bit of this:

Shaker Heights: Van Aken District Transit Oriented Development
Saw some comments about how this probably pushed out low income people. Wanted to ask them to head to Google Maps and take a virtual drive down S Woodland Rd or Parkland Dr.

Ok, it was very odd seeing it do that. 😀

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Saw something interesting today on my lunch walk. I saw a Blue Line train heading westbound over the bridge into the west side. I was always under the assumption that those trains could not fit the track gauge that the Red Line trains use. Is that true? I literally did a head turn because i'v never seen a Blue/Green Line train heading over that bridge.

Cleveland Heights: Development and News
I wonder if the recent storms contributed to the failure or if it was just bad maintenance. I drive past there every so often and I never got the impression that the building wasn't being maintained. Lucky that it happened while no one was walking underneath.

East Cleveland News (Non-Development)
Yikes, seems like something like that can pretty much cripple an already poverty stricken city. I wonder what the police department and the city government has to say about this?

Cleveland: Random Development and News
Any details on this ongoing rehab? I work around the corner and have been walking by on my lunch breaks. Looks like they were doing some pressure washing yesterday.

Youngstown-Warren: Random Development and News
rwashington89 replied to YtownNewsandViews's post in a topic in Northeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionIs there a link to that report? I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually true. You hear all the time of how owners sabatoge old historical buildings so they can sell the land underneath it for 2x the price.

Makes a lot of sense and is something that I hope will happen in the next 20 years.

Shaker Heights: Development and News
rwashington89 replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Northeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionExciting news. I always felt the other smaller stations were decaying in a way that reflects badly on RTA. Im also glad that the 79th St station is getting rebuilt soon because it was always depressing riding through it and it looked like a relic from the past. I am also interested in seeing the new Warrensville Station and how it will integrate into the Van Aken District.

Shaker Heights: Van Aken District Transit Oriented Development
I'm surprised how busy Northstar is given it's on the corner facing outside of the district vs the others which are more visible to the people walking around the district.

Shaker Heights: Van Aken District Transit Oriented Development
I do feel bad because I knew a lot of the workers and the managers there. Hopefully they are able to find employment elsewhere. I do hope we get some new dining options that are more budget friendly.
