Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
I’m kind of confused on the location. There’s currently already a building at 1440 Pleasant street. Is this building replacing that building or is it going in the lot just south of the said building?

I remember years ago when they wanted to turn that into a bar and someone who lived in one of the units across the street through a big enough fit that the bar didn’t happen.

What also sucks about the parking that the small portion on the south part of the lot is currently a gated outdoor area for the residents that live in the buildings surrounding it. One of my friends lived in one of the apartments and the only reason he chose that one was bc it had this big outdoor area for his dog to run.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Development and News
One of my friends is moving in May to Toronto and he lives on the 12th floor so there may be one available if you are still interested haha. It views the OTR side.

Cincinnati: Random Development and News
Overall this years there’s going to be a good chunk of mid/high rises under construction. Under construction/starting this year 1. Convention Center Hotel (26 floors) 2. FC Cincinnati development (2-13 floor towers) 3. Factory 52 development (10 floor? Apartment tower) 3. Medpace (7 I think floor tower) 4. Uc Block 1 and 2 (9/14 floor towers) (6 floor smaller tower) 5. Peace Bell site(7 floor hotel) Maybe this year? 1. District at Clifton Heights tower (26 floors) (haven’t heard any updates on this) 2. Other developments around UC (seems to be a decent amount of new apartment buildings in the works around campus, not sure of the floor counts though) 3. Margaritaville hotel (15 floors) 4. Covington Central riverfront (not really and renderings but could see a couple 6-7 floor buildings) No idea if/when it will happen 1. Western and Southern development (no idea of size but did mention a 400 room hotel) 2. Gallery at Kenwood (10 floor tower) 3. Central Parkway apartments (7 floors at the Northwestern corner of Central Parkway and Vine) 4. Spot just to the East of Convention Center hotel (was mention of a possible tower but that was a few years ago) 5. Northeast corner of 7th and Vine (7 floor apartment tower) Im sure there may be some that I am missing and some that could prolly be moved around but just what I am getting from most up to date news article. Hopefully Cincinnati can start gaining more new mid/high-rises. Seems like Cleveland has been doing decent and Columbus seems to be heating up.

Cincinnati: West End: Development and News
Hopefully some of that will be used to replace the LEDs on the facade that are burnt out. Not a good look to have this beautiful stadium and not keep up with the lighting.

Did it mention what other projects won state tax credits? Just glad to finally see this moving forward.

As much as I’d love to see Sundance move here I don’t think it’s gonna happen. A lot of people who go to Sundance are very outdoorsy and want the mountains and skiing. I just don’t see them flying into Cincinnati in February. I think the only upside to us is that we’re close to other large cities that could draw people down or up to cincy.

Other than the giant parking lot that used to be Kroger.

Cincinnati: Hyde Park: Development and News
I’m assuming a lot of these people are the same ones that tried to stop the ILA Hyde Park project. Let’s hope it’s the same outcome where they’re like we’ll listen to your feedback but it’s getting built as either way.

I know there’s a retail section for Cincinnati but wanted to post here bc vine street is losing another big store. First Warby Parker is closing and now Homage is closed. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2024/12/22/homage-cincinnati-retailer-closes-otr-location/77149848007/

Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
Let’s hope. The renderings do make it look higher than 300ft.
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
Does seem odd, basically if you math it out 32 floor for a 300ft tower is 9.375ft for each floor. I could see the smaller part of the tower being 300 ft with the taller portion being 320 ft.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
My friend used to live in one of the buildings facing East 14th. The little circled part is currently outdoor space for the apartments surrounding it. He chose the apartment solely bc of that space which was great for his dog. As much as I want density in every street, would much rather see it stay outdoor space rather than a parking lot.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Carew Tower
The amount of different approvals needed is astonishing. Is this typical or just a Cincinnati thing?
