  1. Hopefully they will have buildings of different heights or else I feel like it’ll look like a suburban business park. Central green looks like the only one that does even though I’d prefer them to be a little bit taller.
  2. I’m sure there will eventually be development around the stadium, think they are just trying to appease the residents for now until they gain more control of the land around it. I personally think it’s the best design they have released.
  3. Glad that they are taking up most of that plot of land. I was afraid it would just sit empty.
  4. Yes they have there’s a row of 6 or so that are all framed out and some more along Madison that are starting.
  5. Two of the boutique hotels under construction. For anyone who doesn’t know the locations of these, they are diagonally across from each other at 7th and Race.
  6. Almost all the way down. Taken 7/4. Hopefully the site will turnover quick for construction to start.
  7. Up to the seventh floor. Taken 7/4
  8. Where else could it go? I think the spot it is currently in is best.
  9. What would be a cool idea imo would be to create a platform that includes the area behind the sky star and build a small cafe or bistro on it and name if after the sky star. Sky star cafe or something like that.
  10. Great news! Something tells me either the city doesn’t think the Newport skywheel will get built or the plans for it will fall apart since sky star is staying. Is there any word on it? I have not heard anything about construction.
  11. Are there any updates on the building that was supposed to replace those two one story garages across from Washington Park? I have heard nothing since summer of last year.
  12. The new building 1602 Pleasant street. That is where the Clooney mural is correct? I hate to see it go but am glad to see liberty street starting to fill up empty lots.
  13. Cincinnati prolly wanted to pull a Newport and grab the spotlight like Newport did with the music venue.
  14. https://local12.com/news/local/hamilton-county-working-to-keep-skystar-wheel-here-for-up-to-10-years Actually excited for this. For some reason something tells me skywheel newport will not happen.
  15. What is everyone’s thoughts on this project? While I’m hoping something will go here (hopefully) I wish it was at least 10 floors. I think my expectation is higher since skyhouse was going to go here.
  16. You could say that with OTR I believe it was last year or the year before when there were multiple shootings within a couple weeks. The rook closing sucks but it seems it was more to do with ownership, not the amount of customers, I honestly assumed bretzel would close eventually due to new competition in the area with Brown Bear Bakery. It does seem like a weird trend but I am sure OTR will be just fine.
  17. Now we know what will be going in the old diner on sycamore https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2019/06/04/exclusive-sugar-n-spice-adding-second-location-in.html?utm_content=1559678663&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook,linkedin
  18. I think the Loews hotel in Chicago would also look really nice.
  19. I think the signia hotel would look well in our skyline and would balance it out Nicely. The plot of land that the Kc hotel is in looks pretty large. I’m assuming that the Cincinnati lot is much smaller and would be more around the Indianapolis size.
  20. Was not really sure where to post this. But great news for the area. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2019/06/03/exclusive-nation-s-largest-engineering-firm-moving.amp.html
  21. They will eventually move. I’m sure FCC is trying to get them out ASAP. They are more than likely helping them find and footing some of the bill for a new spot. The thing that irks me is the amount of negativity the west end spot is getting. Most of the spots they are getting for the stadium are either parking lots, abandoned buildings and a high school football field. Yes some people were displaced but it’s not like they decided to build right in the middle of public housing.
  22. The only big issue I have is with Rookwood (work a second job at one of the stores) is how much more parking there is on the Bed Bath and Beyond side opposed to the Nordstrom rack side. On any given summer Saturday or around the holidays it can be a pain to find any parking and they do not advertise very well that you can park in garage behind Potbelly’s.
  23. I looked at a few of Cincinnati’s peer cities (Pittsburgh and St.Louis) if I am looking correctly Cincinnati now has more people than Pittsburgh and is only a few hundred shy of St.louis.
