  1. I am assuming for the time being there will be no development at the site (even though Cranley has stated a couple months ago that there were developments) They are prolly more interested in getting a new hotel for the convention center right now since the city is really pushing that issue and with all their other projects including the old kroger site.
  2. Hopefully will have some height to it. A 144 room hotel plus a garage is a lot for that lot.
  3. Article on the business courier says they are looking for new owners. Hopefully someone buys it quickly.
  4. It is exciting, I mean even wayfair opened their first ever store in Florence. That’s a pretty big deal seeing that they could have easily opened one in a larger city with a distribution center.
  5. Is there any word on where this will be located on the site? And how much acreage it will take up?
  6. I was hoping for some mid rise apartment buildings with some restaurant and retail space. Looks like now all we’ll see is townhomes and maybe some low rise apartments buildings. Pretty disappointed in all the hype I was having.
  7. Does anyone know what they are building behind the MCDonalds on Ridge ave? Looks like maybe a restaurant.
  8. I wonder if this ties in with North Americans 100 million dollar plan for Newport in the Levee.
  9. I would say a lot of people do not know the populations of a lot of cities especially the populations of their metros. Cincinnati does have a larger city vibe especially downtown and OTR. Cincy is also over double the density of Nashville.
  10. I honestly think that an Apple store would work very well downtown. You have to also factor in people who work downtown as well as companies who provide work phones to their employees that are Apple. If they have issues with them then they could just take them to the Apple store in downtown and otr instead of trudging all the way to kenwood.
  11. I’d really like to see a design and the height of something similar to this new hotel that will be in Indianapolis. https://www.indystar.com/story/news/2019/02/22/new-downtown-indianapolis-hotel-would-literally-and-figuratively-change-our-skyline/2952180002/
  12. I believe it will be tall enough to make a pretty large impact on the skyline and should balance the skyline out pretty well.
  13. I agree with you but I also think at the same time people who live in the area of the stadium should have realized that this would happen. If I lived in the west end close to the stadium development I would assume that at some point during the construction of the stadium that I would have to relocate. Even if they did not buy those properties you’d think that at some soonish point after that, someone is going to want to either renovate or demolish the building.
  14. Should take this shot again when Freeport row starts rising.
  15. I’d think they would rather keep the millenium until a new convention hotel was built. I wouldn’t think they would tear it down just to build another convention hotel in its place, Sure the millenium is a pretty crappy hotel, but we’d prolly lose a lot of conventions for the next couple of years if they just decided to tear it down without another connecting hotel being built. Id hate to see a decently prominent building downtown be demolished and I’d much rather see one be built in the parking lot across the street and the millenium renovated into apartments/hotel.
  16. It must be a pretty tall building seeing the size of that lot is not that large.
  17. Would love to see the Salvation Army lot redeveloped.
  18. New proposal for the site next to rookwood commons. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2019/04/16/revised-hyde-park-plans-has-fewer-homes-and-hotel/3449862002/
  19. Hopefully yes. I think a beer garden in the summer on lot 28 would be awesome.
  20. New renderings https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2019/04/15/here-s-what-the-banks-music-venue-will-look-like.html?iana=hpmvp_cinci_news_headline I think it kind of looks like a larger version of the Shakespeare theater. Hopefully construction starts soon and that this will be s catalyst for the other lot to get developed. I hate seeing a huge parking lot right next to an awesome park.
  21. I think 206 sounds more accurate. I actually do not believe that the American building is 255ft tall. More around 200. The Kroger building is 320 ft and if you put the American building next to it the difference looks to be more than just 70 or so ft.
  22. I believe that the plans are still in the work but more than likely depends on how well these units rent out.
  23. Hopefully if a hotel does go there it will be tall enough to balance the skyline out on that side.
  24. https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2019/04/10/port-closes-on-convention-center-area-garages-what.html?iana=hpmvp_cinci_news_headline Hooefully a new convention center hotel.
