Is there any new information about the development next to rookwood commons?

Wouldn’t mind it staying. What would this mean for the skywheel though? I’ve been having my doubts lately about it even actually happening.

It just sucks to have people bash OTR. It’s my favorite part of the city and when ppl visit the city that’s where you want to take them to experience cincinnati. I wouldn’t take anyone up to anywhere say Mason or West Chester (unless it was Ikea).

I think a lot of the parts of OTR that are not changing as quickly are where 99% of these shooting are occurring. In due time things will change. All of OTR south of Liberty I always feels safe walking. Once I get North of Liberty with the exception of right around Findlay Market I do not feel as safe ( more so meaning if it was later in the evening as opposed to 3pm). A lot of ppl don’t realize that at 15 years or so ago none of OTR was safe

I feel like I read somewhere that the name of the bar was going to have holiday in it. I could be wrong though

Glad to see it’s an Italian restaurant. Don’t believe there really has been any new Italian ones opened in OTR.

Construction going strong on 6th st.

Saw an Instagram post that there is a new lease for where Lacheys bar used to be. Not sure what it’s going to be though.

I would guess height wise it till be as tall as the textile building.

I used to work with a woman that worked in the housing for uc. Not sure if that has anything to do with it but she said that they always had to backfill students into different apartment building throughout CUF. So maybe some of it will be backfill student housing. But Uc’s student population is also growing pretty quickly.

It will be great to see when driving down I-75 as well. I know around paddock you can see children’s hospital. Not sure if you’ll be able to see this but I’m guessing you will. The CUF skyline would look great if it was all flat.

Drove past and there is a lot of construction underway.

How many rooms is it supposed to have?

I wonder if it will be the same development that was put out for that spot a year or two ago.

Maybe the city should buy it and make it a permanent fixture.

Any news on the skywheel? I know it was being built in Panama City and with the hurricane I’m sure it pushed that work back some.

In regards to this project. Is there any updates on the sycamore apartments?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cincinnati.com/amp/2150515002 The spot they are saying I’m guessing is the spot behind the houses on the corner of Madison Rd. And Kennedy. That spot is interesting due to its topography.

My guess would be that it would still be close to the stadium. Maybe where the old boys and girls club is? I know they are turning that into a parking lot for the time being but they may be working with the liberty and elm developers to put a garage there.

I believe they are waiting too see how this building does before starting in the second one, but I believe that was when they were being marketed as condos. I hope it comes through though. That would add a lot more to that whole section of downtown.

Even though there are other bigger projects (Kroget,4th and Race, Fc cincinnati stadium) this may be one of my top favorites. I think downtown and OTR would do well with a lot of mid rise apartment buildings scattered throughout.
