  1. It was originally going to be an apartment complex but those plans fell through. Would much rather have this though. https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2023/02/01/manhattan-development-madisonville.html Looking at retail leasing site CBRE one of the renderings shows a restaurant called burger shake. Not to get too excited but I hope that will become a shake shack. https://www.cbre.com/resources/fileassets/US-SMPL-129999/05b0074e/976c6db6-e70b-4e2a-95f8-a7798601dbf0.pdf
  2. New retail development Oakley Parke looks to be starting as the building circled on the plot has been demolished.
  3. There has been construction happening across from Kroger on Wasson Road. Heard its homes being built. Assuming its these from a few years back. https://www.fox19.com/2019/10/18/hyde-park-residents-create-petition-oppose-high-density-townhomes/?outputType=amp
  4. Skyline is taking over the Frisches location.
  5. Wondering if it will be apart of Blink. Would much prefer another building taking up that parking lot than a visible mural but we’ll take what we can get.
  6. https://www.fox19.com/2024/04/07/frischs-big-boy-covington-shuts-down/ Big Boy in Covington has shut down. Would be nice to see this start the redevelopment of this section of Covington.
  7. It’s in the old Panera bread spot.
  8. It won’t compete too much with Nada. Mi Cozumel is more of a generic type Mexican restaurant with super fancy/expensive drinks and eccentric decor . It is good food though. Will prolly do well in that location with tourists.
  9. Fencing is around this building at the corner of Shaw and Erie. Anyone have any idea what the plan is?
  10. https://www.wvxu.org/local-news/2023-12-22/judge-dismisses-lawsuit-challenging-permanent-supportive-housing-over-the-rhine Any news on 2000 Dunlop street? Supposed to be 4 floors of 44 apartments for people experiencing homelessness. Was proposed late in 2022 and passed but then a lawsuit was filed against it and was dismissed. They had till mid January to file an appeal but not sure if that happened or not.
  11. Park Ave Square is what was planned for that site. $29 million dollars and 176 apartments.
  12. Thought they were keeping the retail portion with Mazunte. Maybe they promised Mazunte a restaurant spot in the new building?
  13. When Kingsley+ Co hear there’s land for sale that has an old school house on it.
  14. Wasn’t sure where to post this. Good report on the 2010-2020 population change in each Cincy neighborhood as well as amount of housing units/density/housing prices, etc. https://www.wvxu.org/politics/2024-03-26/only-a-third-of-cincinnati-neighborhoods-added-housing-2010-to-2020-report
  15. Two huge plots being developed with this one and the Freedom pointe (where costco is). Still curious about the Hyatt house at the intersection of Cox road and Liberty way which is still under construction after multiple years.
  16. Hopefully it does well. Idky, but nothing seems to be working in that spot. There’s also Bourbon Kitchen and Bar going into the old Wahlburger spot but I haven’t heard any new on when that will open.
  17. Did they buy the building that houses Mazunte? Would be nice to see mazunte move into the Madison and Whetsel corner restaurant space that hasn’t even had a tenant since it was built in 2018.
  18. World market is re-entering the Cincy market and is putting a location in Rookwood (right next door to Sierra). Edit: There’s also one opening in Crestview Hills Town Center that was announced late summer of last year.
  19. I think it’s a great location. We’ll see how it holds up to the crowds. Usually am down there during pride and it’s gets very cramped. Hopefully it won’t end up that way.
  20. I’m confused as to why they would put in another convention center when they just renovated the sharonville one.
  21. Last time I heard it’s going to look something similar to this.
  22. https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2024/03/20/cincinnati-central-parkway-overhaul-federal-money.html Central Parkway received more federal money than it had asked for. They asked for 3.5 and are receiving 4.1 million. Doesn’t mention a timeline.
  23. Or to even try to sell a building that could be turned into low income apartments. The church on the right owns this boarded up house. It’s been vacant as long as I can remember. I mean there could be a good reason that they haven’t done anything with it but I’ve never heard any specific reasons.
