Cincinnati: Kroger
What are the possibilities that the Kroger/Albertsons merger doesn’t happen? I keep hearing more and more about lawsuits against it.

One rendering has the peace bell at the park. Would be a lot better than surrounded by a parking garage and hotel.

Cincinnati: Restaurant News & Info
Saw on Reddit there’s a steakhouse called Texas De Brazil that has a Cincinnati location opening in 2024. Anyone have any scoop on this? Looks like it’s usually in nicer shopping centers. Going to assume it’ll either be Liberty Center or Kenwood.

Cincinnati: Pleasant Ridge / Kennedy Heights: Development and News
Dang. This would be the perfect spot for a mixed use development. The businesses I’m sure would love to have a few hundred apartments in this spot and there’s no big residential around to complain about traffic.

Cincinnati: Pleasant Ridge / Kennedy Heights: Development and News
Yes it’s a very strange area. I think it’s due in part that it’s all part of Columbia township and not the city of Cincinnati or Norwood. Seems like the township doesn’t really care about this portion even though it’s right in between some quickly changing neighborhoods.

Cincinnati: Pleasant Ridge / Kennedy Heights: Development and News
Building on the right is the old Burlington as well as dollar tree (closed). On the left there was a sketchy used auto dealer called IAuto as well as some other small businesses. All the businesses are gone out of these two buildings. Curious to see if the same entity owns these parcels and could there possibly be some new development in the works.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Was a beautiful day to walk around OTR and take some development photos. 1st: Hueber homes along Elm just north of Music Hall. 2nd: Renovation along Elm just north of the Hueber homes. 3rd: Back of Liberty and Elm. 4th: Logan Commons 5th: Liberty and Elm part that's along Central Parkway 6th: Liberty and Elm part that’s along Liberty. 7th: Infill apartment building along Pleasant st. 8th. Fotofocus Some takeaways imo: Liberty and Elm is going to be pretty prominent and I’m thankful this was able to get going with all the sh*t it had to go through. Logan Commons taking up a parking lot will hopefully show how much better buildings are than parking lots (Looking at you parking lots along Liberty). The infill along Pleasant street doesn’t take up the whole lot (assuming the other portion is for parking). As excited I am to see this take up vacant land, I wish they didn’t include parking. Walking down Race from Findlay Market there was an abundance of just trash everywhere. I don’t know if they need to put trash cans along this stretch of what but it’s getting crazy. Walking past people I noticed many different languages and it felt great hearing this and really makes Cincy feel more like a worldly city. Even though we complain about Cincy nimbys and we for sure still need too, I’m just glad to live in an affordable city with this kind of neighborhood.

Cincinnati: Potential New Arena
I’m just assuming they are wanting to put some sort of garage close to the arena. That was just the spot I chose because if the hotel were to go next to TQL then the garage would be just across the street. Could totally go south of it and serve the arena plus city hall.

Cincinnati: Potential New Arena
Assuming that Heritage Bank is out of the question since it seems like they are wanting to get this moving relatively quickly. Casino site: Red-Arena Yellow- Hotel to serve both arena and Casino Blue- Additional garage West End site: Green- Hotel Purple- Garage Red-Arena The question is, is the West End site truly big enough to fit a 20-22k arena? The one thing I do like about either site is that they are near some hideous parking lots that I’ve been wanting to see developed for some time.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
For the Mohawk line, If I remember correctly they said that it was originally part of the expansion. If they do this one I think it should be the whole Linn street expansion. The only issue I have with that expansion is that at the end it doesn’t cross over back to OTR but rather goes all the way back up to northern OTR. I feel like if people are taking it to OTR they would more than likely walk then spend an extra 10-15min on the streetcar.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2024/02/02/cincinnati-streetcar-nine-potential-routes.html Went to the forum last night. It was nice to not only see a packed house but to see a nice range of ages.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
I’m thinking it’s just a placeholder. The original design they revealed awhile back had the same design of hotel.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Terrace Plaza Hotel
They are currently doing a lot of remediation work. The owner is currently selling at580 building and one of my friends who lives in that building mentioned to me that hes going to use the money made from 580 to help with this project.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Carew Tower
https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2024/01/30/cincinnatis-iconic-carew-tower-may-reopen-famous-observation-deck/72412365007/ I think the enquirer peeps are stalking us. Mentions developer is working with the Cincinnati buildings and fire department for a way to reopen the observation deck safely .

Cincinnati: Walnut Hills / East Walnut Hills: Development and News
Hopefully Cincinnati Children’s has a plan for that site sometime in the near future. I don’t know if it’s just me but seeing vacant land makes all the buildings around it look run down even if they have tenants.
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: Carew Tower
They could do where you have to badge in your key to get to your floor and just have a button to the highest floor possible to get to the observation deck. I remember you have to climb some stairs to get to the top though so that may hamper them opening it back up as an observation deck.

Norwood: Development and News
Heres my prediction for the rest of the site. They state that there will be a new entrance off of Robertson (Red). Apartment buildings are in purple. Hotel in yellow and office in green. The office could prolly scratched for more apartments, but I’m assuming they would want some office space to diversify the project. Could see the lot next to Siemens also be part parking garage to accommodate Siemens employees.

Cincinnati: West End: Development and News
I would much rather them move the venue to the next phase or decrease the amount of office space rather than take off floors from the hotel or apartment portion.
