  1. Several recent pics of Intro: Intro dog park New Citizens Bank Branch across the street from the Intro on West 25 Street?? I really love the way the INTRO APTS has totally transformed the area! But I do hope that there will be a lot more retail in the next two phases. Obviously Intro is a great improvement over the former Market Plaza in so many ways except for the amount of retail. Of course I'm sure there will be a lot of spin off development of all types that will just make OHIO CITY a even better neighborhood!
  2. Several pics of Tremont projects under construction and recently completed: South of Gateway Animal Clinic Electric Garden Apartments Electric Garden Apartments Willey Avenue near Columbus Road Scranton Avenue Scranton Avenue WILLEY Avenue WILLEY Avenue
  3. A Sad day. As most of us on UO know Scott and his Mother Iris took over for his Father's far sighted vision for the Flats East Bank when his Father died. AND unlike some local developers they did NOT give up that vision, that dream, when they came up short by millions of dollars in financing back in 2010. They personally guaranteed some of those loans and also increased their equity in the project to be able to complete the first phase of the project!! And then they was even able to refinance the project a couple years later to boot. We need MORE LEADERS like the Wolstein Family!! GOD BLESS THEM
  4. The extra reinforcement is required because they used wood instead of steel sheet piling to save money. And to limit the amount of vibrations in installing the shoring system since they are building very near historical buildings.
  5. I did some more research on this new retail store and it looks like it's a new west side location for a existing Shaker Hts store Intro Cle located at: 16895 Chagrin Blvd, Shaker Hts. https://m.facebook.com/Intro-Cle-131341490833473/ https://m.facebook.com/131341490833473/photos/a.131341540833468/131343930833229/
  6. This building at 3025 West 25 Street was renovated back in 2019 and it just recently opened with a new shoes & clothes business: AJI REBELLIONAIRE Sorry about the poor pic - it was a rainy day.
  7. I believe this rendering is from the Jacobs 2016 proposal that KJP & Cleveland.com wrote about: https://www.cleveland.com/business/2016/05/jacobs_investments_aims_to_bui.html https://neo-trans.blogspot.com/2019/06/seeds-sprouts-ii-early-intel-on-real.html?m=1
  8. Thanks for another GREAT ARTICLE Ken! But one little thing... wasn't I-490 completed in 1990?
  9. It's a great idea that Huron Road could become a mini Euclid of pedestrian activity with a series of new office, residential and hotel towers built on the Tower City parking lots with entrances off of Huron Road. BUT with the Landmark building's main entrances located on Prospect Avenue it allows little extra pedestrian activity on Huron Road. Unless they redesign that side of the Landmark building with new rear entrances and hopefully some new retail and restaurants too. Right now it's mainly a few entrances for employees, garage, loading dock, garbage, etc.
  10. New Townhouses is being built off of West 53 Street across from Menlo Park Academy: They are being built where the parking lot for the former Joseph & Feiss Clothing Factory was located. About ten years ago a different developer was building Townhouses at that same location, but there was a bad fire and the large lot has been empty ever since. https://case.edu/ech/articles/j/joseph--feiss-co/ http://www.menloparkacademy.com/
  11. Most likely the concrete pour is related to the CASSIONS being fitted with rebar cages and then being filled with concrete.
  12. Some pics of the Treo Apartments at 2461 W 25th Street: It will have 171 apartments and 3,160 square feet of first floor commercial space. And have five floors of apartments and retail with two levels of underground parking. And 20% of the units will be restricted as workforce housing at or below 100% Average Median Income. This is the first project to contribute $65,000 to the Developers Fund to be managed by Tremont West Development Corporation (TWDC) for community improvement. http://www.treoliving.com https://www.thelandcle.org/stories/treo-will-bring-171-units-to-ohio-city-tremont-border?rq=TREO St. Joseph's Commons Apartments is on the left side and the TREO Apartments are in the distance.
  13. From what I understand to allow enough land for a second Apartment Tower and a parking garage that will be required. Perhaps they can connect into the small private road that they will build as part of the Phase One just south of the First Tower.
  14. This is from the Plain Dealer in 2011: A. J. Celebrezze tower renovation in Cleveland is a national test case on balancing preservation and energy conservation Experts say the upcoming $121 million renovation of the A.J. Celebrezze Federal Building in downtown Cleveland could be the first time a high-rise tower in the United States is wrapped with a new glass facade on all four sides, leaving the original facade intact and visible. The second skin will create an insulating cushion of air in the 2.5-foot gap between the old and new facades. https://www.cleveland.com/arts/2011/01/celebrezze_tower_renovation_in.html
  15. Some pics from yesterday of the Treo Apartments at 2461 W 25th Street: Another great project from a Chicago Developer! And I think that it's really great how various types of developments are now increasingly spreading to areas outside the typical HOT SPOTS! http://treoliving.com https://www.buildwithkrueger.com/project/treo/ https://www.clevelanddevelopmentadvisors.com/en/Projects/TREO
