Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
So Ken, after reading your neo-trans post l'm trying figure out if Playhouse Square is being vague with their application, if TMUD is being vague with their announcement or if my reading comprehension needs work. I can't remember this kind of confusion with past applications/reward announcements.

Managed to get back to original format except when I click on Northeast Ohio projects & Constriction its empty. The only way to access it is touch the minutes from last post on the right and under the pic of the poster. Then I can get in to that page. Still no spellcheck when posting a comment.

Site Layout
Thanks but no. it started with losing spell check then today I Iost the northeast ohio forum and trying to get it back I made it worse. Looks like I have multiple pages all schrunk to fit on the screen. Even when I delete them and open a new page it is tiny and not the front page I used to see. I think I have to have it fixed on my phone and not on your end. That's what I get for being 71 lol.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I'm betting (in New York at least) there will be zoning changes to accommodate conversions simply because the number of buildings and the square footage of under-performing office space is staggering. If you can't fill the spaces and you can't tear them all down conversion will have to the best of bad choices. Current zoning be damned.

Cleveland: Cleveland-Cliffs
I'm not well versed enough in the subject to know if the Nippom buyout is good or bad for the American steel business so l'll just opine in my ignorance, l'm hoping Cliffs wins out in the end, although that does appear to be a longshot at this point.

Akron: Downtown: Development and News
No fan of First Energy but l hate to see them leave the building.

Personally, l dislike converting office space to residential but if the space is now obsolete due to economic circumstances then this is the best option. Remaining empty is not the answer. And a side benefit of conversions is it does help to alleviate the housing crisis. More housing should help to bring down the total cost of housing which is becoming a real problem for millions of Americans

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
I had been thinking that both peaks were identical but that may not be the case. Does anyone know if one peak is higher than the other?

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
I have been informed recently by insiders who are familiar with SHW (people in line with me at the paint store) that the second phase of the project will be talked about frequently on this forum. Carry on.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
@BoomerangCleResYes that is a great shot and (at least to us) it says "Cleveland." But imagine it without the bridge. It would say "Anywhere America." That's why l think without that bridge the Flats wouldn't be the Flats. Just another place to get a drink.

Fits right in. Perfect infill for an established street.

Cleveland: Natural History Museum Renovation and Expansion
Gorgeous design. I congratulate the architect.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Since we don't as yet know what the second building will look like l vote for one that compliments rather than mimics the first tower. I don't want a shorter version of phase one. I think identical buildings would be too overwhelming for the surroundings. Too ponderous. I'm not sure there is enough room but l second the idea of placing it perpendicular rather than parallel to the first building.

Even at 450' that's quite a second fiddle.

If this buyout goes through l wonder if Nippon overpaid or Cliffs underbid?

Interesting that there's a freighter docked by the stadium. I thought the shipping season ended in December. With climate change maybe we're in for a 10-11 month season. Now all we need are expanded locks in the St. Lawrence Seaway to allow for larger salties to visit.
