I've made myself believe that Mayfield will go at 1, and if Chubbs around at 4, we'll take him. If not, we trade the pick. There's no way the Browns take Barkley.
  2. No, downtown it's around 175 feet. I believe the Lumen site is approximately 189'. Once you get to about E93rd and Carnegie, it starts rising quickly. Some of the CCF buildings in the E 80s are on matts that are no where near the rock depth, while UH buildings near 105th are bearing on rock at about 15 feet deep.
  3. That's what I was saying. And to compliment the massive suburban growth then, downtown saw the RRHOF, GLSC, Browns Stadium, Federal Courthouse Tower and several Buildings at CCF (which included two new hotels with intercontinental and Omni). This was on the heels of Gund Arena, Jacobs field and the entire Gateway development which was occurring in conjunction with Key Tower and the Marriott and Bank One Center. It was a very busy time from a construction standpoint. I think this current period stands out because of the private dollars being pumped into residential development in the inner-city.
  4. They are using a pad/matt foudnation for this, but they also opted to have 9 caissons drilled to bedrock beneath the pad. That was an option as a pad probably could have been sufficient. That said, I'm sure they could have thickened the pad some to take out the caissons too. As far as a crane, the schedule shows assembly of that to start in September.
  5. I would doubt it trades, but maybe to some degree. I know there's lot of high profile projects going on in the city right now, but really, the construction occurring today is still not up there with the 90's boom of housing and retail. The trades were definitely feeling the squeeze back then.

I think they should try to partner with St. Ignatius to give them a home field close to the school. 10k would be perfect for them.
  7. I understand your point Dougal, but in this case being that it's Great Lakes, I'm OK with the location. Great Lakes is a huge part of the brewing scene in NE Ohio, and alot of people come here specifically to go there. They have a rich history in the business, and I think a high profile location is good for them. Anyone else, I agree, OC would be a great fit.
  8. Still looks very similar to what has been posted on here.

KJP, I love that picture! The placement of downtown looks off though. Seems like it should be on the left hand side of the shot. Based on the image the red line would almost have to do a full u-turn.
  10. I would expect the site to be fenced off and trailers brought in by March 1, with excavation commencing of the matt foundation by mid-march. A lot of foundation work and garage work throughout the summer. The crane would probably come in around August.
  11. I'm not comparing the two markets, just pointing out why parking and retail is such an important component to the financing plan for this project.
  12. Makes sense, but the retail price point on apartments in Cleveland is somewhat "hohum". The parking and retail component is what makes this project a winner for the developer, and the banks.
  13. I think the steel comes over a bit further, over to the top parking deck. You can see where that is in mrclifton's shot above.
  14. I'm not sure if it's just me, but the first shot makes Public Square look terrible. I know it only shows a very small corner of it, but it almost looks like it caught on fire.
  15. Jacksonville and Charlotte are still finishing up some highways. Atlanta may not have any new ones going on right now, but within the past 5 years, they did.
