Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
As much as that sounds like a good idea, "trash mountain" is sinking, and long term effects of breathing in garbage fumes from underground arent very good. Here's a really well put together video about city view center, more specifically why everything went abandoned and the state of disrepair that the entire complex is in.

We need a photo from State Road Hill in Parma, best skyline views in town!

I'm still suprised they went with a completely off the wall design on that water tower in Ohio City. There's obviously better options they could go with:

Atleast they're asking for input, I never knew there was an option. It is a rather large undertaking to partially cap underpasses. However it irks me to think that the city will choose the cheapest and blandest option to save on engineering costs unless the Haslams are the ones pitching in for this project. That being said I am also surprised that they're holding a presentation for the public, which makes me think there is potentially more than one master plan. If they're holding focus groups i'm interested in seeing how this plan will change, however i don't feel it will change much. Hopefully we can get some UrbanOhioans in the group to voice their opinions on how not to just build it, but to tailor it to Cleveland. Statues, urban arts, stages, pergolas, gathering areas, fancy lighting, trees, and whatnot. Maybe this is finally our chance to get the superman statue we've always wanted!

No matter how big the plane is, they typically take off into headwind and land against the wind for lift and drag. Although not required, tower is responsible for giving out weather data from a ground POV which usually dictates which direction planes take off and land. They can take off and land while moving with the wind as well. Wind can switch directions from east to west, to west to east at any point in time.

HOT TOPIC ALERT! Before this topic gets locked for rogue Burke posts, i do know we have a separate discussion with the utilization of that space and the problems it's causing for the general public. This topic is used for lakefront development not to include Burke Lakefront. Sorry but not sorry. :)

We've known this for a few years now, rather disappointing, but I wonder how well their transition is going. At least they're still local.

I dont know if it's me, but doesnt the tower footprint look a little underwhelming than what it looks like in the renderings? Maybe we just need everything else to rise...

If it's one thing that can separate a city from another, it's outdoor music. Rockhall is doing just that! I would love a rock and roll hall of fame playlist playing almost anywhere.

E 4th, as a gem as it is, we need another street like it. A long walking area, not a road. However we're setting up Scranton Peninsula, I think we're setting it up for walkability success. and I would like the council to recognize that we need some safe dine-in entertainment areas, that many tourists and locals would love to walk around. Look at North Austin at the Domain. There's lots of dining and shopping opportunities similar to Crocker Park, but the problem is where is the nightlife? Who goes downtown without a few brewskies in the system... Anyhow, Cleveland nightlife is great and all but there's no real safe place to do it other than E 4th without walking into traffic. This is where I think Scranton Peninsula can excel granted the plan is there.

I wish Cleveland had their own Blue Man Group! I saw them in PHS a few years ago, and one of their big balls somehow got pushed below the 2nd level balcony and shattered a chandelier over some of the audience. Also while that was going on, I watched some dude dive bomb to hit this thing and face planted in the aisle, he failed horribly. Totally chaotic scene but hilarious that all that happened within a span of 30 seconds. I absolutely loved everything about their show and went to go see it in Vegas a few years after their theater tour. They are awesome, wishful thinking that their theater presence is brought here to stay in Cleveland.

Bottom line is the City uses the County's prison, and the County isn't very happy that the City is trying to spend more County money to build another County prison, when the City could use a prison for lower crimes and offenses. Bottm line, if I were Cuyahoga County I'd make the City build their own, and then re-classify those inmates based on their offenses and the authority that captured them.

Picture off one of my friend's facebook. Key tower actually looks pretty nice with a darker crown. This view would also be amazing with SHW in it!

Wonder what they'll use it for. Maybe another HQ building with storefronts or maybe even an artsy pedestrian draw bridge that can connect Nautica, Jacobs Pavilion, and the aquarium.

commercial or not, those views are spectacular, especially for the air show that would be a hot ticket place if its public.
