  3. I feel like i'm having a baby boy! What about crane-berry?
  4. I think the lone sailor is a great pick, you may not know it but Cleveland has a huge historic military backround. I'm suprised we dont have a naval station nearby...

I know its stanley cup season, but man would I just love to be able to see this in my lifetime.
  6. 🤣 Mostly, but if they're moving east side they're gonna make some pretty big considerations.
  7. I believe we have to make decisions based on personnel as well, over an amtrak station it could be a hot spot! But we also have to think of supposed mass transit terrorist attacks. I'm all for it but the science center is too close, and it also restricts viewpoints of the lake from the mall lawn. I'm sure the cpc wouldn't like the idea of blocking the 4th side of our own 'Central Park'. HOWEVER... The warehouse district is not a very big hotspot for business anymore, it's not a very big tourist attraction, I feel like they're trying to move towards actual vacant land but not thinking about building vacancies per block. Past the Rockefeller Center there's almost no tourism unless you make way to flats west bank. If we could demolish some vacant brown & red brick that plagues the west side, and redirect some grid roads, we may have plenty of space to actually build a new stadium.
  8. I'm not entirley sure if this is east or west bank, but there was a sizeable lawn fire underneath the bridge. (my bad for the size of the video oml, you can double click to fullscreen it instead of watching a blown up version) 258691455_flatsfire.mp4
  9. Looks great and all! I wonder if we dredge the river, the water from the Cuyahoga will clear up since sediment isn't too close to where the many barges roll through. Upstream it's very clean, but closer to downtown, the more it looks like Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory.
  10. As of a few days ago Class of 22-23 will be the last students to graduate from Parma Senior High School. The school is planned to be completely demolished. "The move reconfigures grade bands at the remaining 11 schools to K-4, 5-8 and 9-12, with Parma Park Elementary School becoming the new location of the central office" https://www.cleveland.com/community/2022/06/parma-city-schools-board-of-education-approves-consolidation-plan-to-close-parma-high-school-parma-park-elementary-school-and-renwood-elementary-school.html
  11. I came across this video yesterday, and it says cleveland is the best city to live in to be safe from climate change!
  12. The amount of things i have created on that website the past few weeks, is borderline concerning and hilarious. It is a rather great tool, but not for renderings. I thought of doing cleveland related things on it but never did it, maybe i'll give it a shot!
  13. maybe they can add an area for food trucks and such for that land swap, or perhaps... In-n-Out?
  14. What about one of these bad bois...
  15. I can picture seeing a Ferris Wheel with bar pods, might make a good tailgating experience for browns games and other events in that area. Make it more touristy with some water features, and I do like the idea of ziplining, maybe they can incorporate something in the browns stadium or zipline over the harbor. Every other stadium has a gimick but I believe the Browns stadium lacks in other additional activities. A Ferris wheel would definitely work if they weren't incorporating it into the stadium. Also long shot here, It would be kind of funny and cool if before browns games there were wooden structures of other teams mascots or logos like burning man that we could burn down so people could keep warm before games.
  16. dont forget we get to harvest the sweet essence of maple syrup!
  17. they'll probably use a method similar to underground mining, jack-hammering metal stakes in the ground to help stabilize and prevent landslide
  18. I feel like UO should be its own city council chair. This is great stuff! Reactivating Urban Forestry, publicizing flawed aspects of our walkways, and even the good aspects, citizens initiative to offer their creative efforts to better culture and nurture our atmosphere. I applaud the city to making quick efforts like these. But we still deserve a seat in city hall.
  19. Isn't this also the site of the possible Frango's development or is that on the other side of the cemetery?
  20. 100% agree! With a commission that maintains an entire national park within our CSA, the Metroparks should not only have complete control over P&R, but streetscapes to restore us to forest city once again. The current situation on the streets with sidewalk shrubs and trees are laughable. The convention center mall is waaaay too big and flat with nothing even remotely interesting all the way to the shoreway. Why on earth was that allowed to happen with no shade, minimal water features, and just plain old boring grass... The mall was super lazily designed and honestly would be better off being real estate than being a park if its just going to be grass. All bets aside, we are not the forest city we once used to be. The concrete planters look generic, and although they complement PHS with their playful nature, everywhere else just seems out of place, we cannot call ourselves the forest city with low lying flowers. Maybe replace some planters or alternate those planters with tall, small root based cherry blossoms seeing as DT doesnt get too much low level high winds. There's solutions to making our city stand out, and the best solution is to allow a park service take care of our streetscape and parks if the city doesnt give a damn about its own appearance... If Mayor Bibb says we have all this money to fix our appearance we definitely have money to allow a different agency be apart of our council.
  21. I think this will complement the church + state development just down the street, an abstract neighborhood!
  22. thats how it goes, lazy work never gets finished. but if one thing has taught me and anyone here on the federal building, military grade is just lowest bidder. Don't fall for those infomercials folks!
  23. government funded projects are rarely expedient, if anyone here is a veteran you should know something about contractors taking their sweet time on projects that should be done in weeks.
