Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
If I remember, Cleveland has one of the best highway networks out there. Exits and on-ramps are perfectly spaced, everything is clearly marked, bridges are overhauled, and even 90 is getting redirected at the old powerplant iirc. Sure beats Texas highways, from a stop sign to a highway ramp that's nowhere near straight, 50 ft long, and goes from 0-75 on a 2 lane highway with no easements. And they apply the same logic in big cities as well... it's just flat out dangerous.

Cleveland: Random Visualizations & Massings
I wish Art Deco and Beaux made a comeback, unfortunately molding and textile industries haven't been very cheap in recent years. I would hate for every new building to be a glass cage from here on out. I always love the look of vintage.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway Megaproject
If its bigger than the renderings, with office space and residential components it would roughly push the architect to build around the same height as NuCleus and SHW. But in all seriousness I just want something to beat out Erieview already, granted SHW is already doing just that, but 2 towers to surpass the already 4th tallest building in the city is indeed a development boom. I'm very glad that we're seeing two major sports corporations just playing with money. If anyone has seen the renderings of the Oakland A's stadium mega-plex, this is the idea that's very well about to happen, although not on a grandiose scale, but a very major economic one. If I were a betting man Blitzer & Gilbert's complex gets built before Haslam's vision by a longshot.

Since we're a city of many bridges, historic and all... Wasn't there a plan to showcase our bascule and lift bridges with dynamic lighting in years past? I feel if we did they would truly become part of the nighttime skyline. Is there a rendering or can anyone with photoshop mastery that can possibly render something of the sort?

No worries, I'm just reflecting on how great this year has been, and how great it will be. It's also related to what major retailers want to see before they set up shop in a downtown area.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
Despite all the shortcomings and holdouts for projects this year, I think DT-Cleveland is coming closer to surpassing DT-Columbus on adding apartments and economic impact zones. But also don't forget, Columbus has its populous as a result of annex, kind of makes me wish Newburgh Hts and Linndale would just default to Cleveland already. Its a big step to increasing city surface area, while also making a small dent in population accumulation. If I recall in previous years major companies like apple, google, target, and other major retailers wont set up shop downtown unless the city has a population of 500,000 or over. Population decline has been dwindling over the past few years, and I'm happy to say we may be on an uptick in the coming years even if we don't annex the two. The incorporation of CCA, SHW, Cliffs, a New Justice Center, and Development of Scranton Peninsula will finally bring life back to the burning river. The fact that Two Cranes are appearing at the same time is amazing to me, and I hope even just that image will bring plenty of fresh talent and economic development to help our city thrive once again. I have faith in the new administration, albeit young and inexperienced; to help set us apart from our sister cities. Columbo & Cincy, you've been warned!

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I'm very happy to announce that I am finally happy to invite my co-workers to Cleveland. It has changed so much since i was born in '98... and that says alot. From ghetto, and joke sports teams to a really good center of Intel and Industrials. The day that I see Cleveland become the TRUE "Middle Child" between Chicago and New York, I'll be set, and I'm very happy to say we're working towards that progressive environment. Screw the other C's (Don't say you've never said Cleveland is better than any of them)... If We're built for another 6 300+ ft high-rise buildings we'll get to that landmark. We're not an expansive city, we just have goals not to absorb other cities for the better of Cleveland's own. Believe me if Parma was annexed it would be devastating. but otherwise population is not all we're looking at here. Columbus may have the people, but we have the daily commuter. Who doesn't work in the general Cleveland area in NEO? That's why we're growing so much IMO. We have a lot of local tourism, 4 sports markets, casinos, national museums, world renown performance art centers, and people who actually want to keep money in Cleveland. I strive to watch us grow, while I may watch from a distance here in Texas, I am very proud of what we're able to accomplish in the last 5 years. It's crazy to me, and from my birth it went from nothing, to restoration, to rebuild. and I'm very happy to say the rust belt never dies.

You know I could be saying: But I'm actually pretty happy about everything. I do hope the tower comes with some dynamic skyline lighting. None the less this will be great to jump start development in the Warehouse District. Talk about slapshotting a 3 pointer into the End-Zone for a Home Run amirite?

I couldn't really see why they would, it's not that big of a development to be considered transformational. The only thing it will be doing is filling a parking crater unless it goes for mass mixed use development like what Stark is trying to secure for NuCLEus
