  1. I wonder what's inside!
  2. I'm just picturing this place during airshows and airstrip marathons
  3. WARNING! LENGTHY POST: If anyone isn't familiar with Vocon Architects, they actually have a very large canvas here in NEO *(pun inteded)* ... Here's a few new and flipped projects they've very decently executed, but never at the scale of what SHW and R&D will hold. This will be quite the challenge for them, and by the interior/exterior photos on their website, I think they'll do a great job putting together a sleek, large, and motivational work center. Cleveland Institute of Art: Student Housing Oatey LEED project GBX Group HQ at 2101 Superior Ave The Quarter Ohio City Goodyear Akron HQ Battery Park / Edgewater neighborhood And Medical Mart (Disclaimer: although it was a disastrous addition because the market wasn't right, it can always be repurposed, but all bets aside it's actually a really sleek building)
  4. I'm gonna be super smart ass here... Maybe he was thinking 75 stories in total, spread out into multiple other buildings. Tallest being 40 and the others are 15 and 20.
  5. FWIH, they were going to replace the escalators in their improvement planning.
  6. Dont forget the AHL's Cleveland Monsters winning the Calder Cup in 2016. Great year for Cleveland sports.
  7. Although I think it wasn't necessary to prune the topic for critique, Its just about as impactful as constructive criticism. All bets aside, I'll just leave it as the golden gateway to Euclid.
  8. Rule #1, don't talk about fight club.
  9. IMO that's actually an upgrade.
  10. I sure hope they dont add manufacturing in the R&D building. It would be a disaster if on the top floor XD
  11. Looks like they've gotten that gash patched up already!
  12. Ever seen the movie "MouseTrap"?
  13. I lived right where this will be happening, there will be no traffic alleviation with only 3 lanes. If they re-time that light on 130th and Sprague That would make all the difference, there is no reason for that light to be so long when there are no cars activating it. Since this is one of the major access roads to I-71 in Strongsville, we've been waiting so long for this road to be completely repaved and pothole free, but since the road is technically within 3 municipal borders, it almost never gets filled or resurfaced entirely, so its great that Parma, NR, and Middleburg finally decided to collaborate. We keep hearing the only reason this is happening is because nobody has a legit way to get in the Dairy Queen parking lot, which alot of that is true but there's only so much you can do when it's 100 feet from the intersection. Traffic coming from Strongsville will just back up like it always does, It just won't work. 4 lanes or bust. Great to see the new sewers and sidewalk, always a needed amenity, but there still are plenty of roads in Parma that still need Sidewalks, like the rest of York from Pleasant Valley to Sprague.
  14. Now the problem is after Lumen you have absolutely nothing to show a gradual decrease in height other than fenn tower. It just kind of drops off. All thoughts aside, it does paint a really great picture to see an entire corridor lined with multiple highrise buildings.
  15. Whenever I was 16 I was tasked with a project in highschool to create an environment that will help keep people interested in a singular area downtown for decades to come. Some people created businesses, some people thought about theme parks, maybe adding a new ferris wheel to the lakefront. I wanted to just add artwork and nightlife to some parks. I came up with a proposal to add moving rectangles protruding from the ground which move in wave fashion that you could sit on and maybe take some great photos atop like our Cleveland scripts, but at night they would light up in diffused RGB sequences complete with color programming for events, game wins, or even the public to take part in, kind of like that one bridge they lined with LED lighting in Sydney. What set this idea apart from the other proposals in our class was the fact that I wasn't creating a whole new area for people to walk to. I was only adding greatness to an already great area, which was Public Square. I can work a mockup of my proposal, because I don't have my papers anymore, but It was very similar to Prismatica. That's why I wish these were more permanent. So in some aspects my idea kind of came true, but in temporary fashion.
  16. I wouldn't mind if those were even permanent. I would actually prefer it that way.
  17. Just asking, is the patch work done on the garage? I would like some photos to see how they did that. Actually pretty cool thing structural repair is.
  18. Some streets in Lakewood have several curb outcrops on the same street. They basically shove two lanes into one so people pay attention.
  19. I dont understand why people feel the need for closer shopping. You literally have an RTA station every 1,000 feet on Euclid.
  20. @Clefan98 If they're building 1.8 million sq ft it can easily be spread across Jacob's and Weston, as it is a larger footprint. I'm sure that number factors in with the campus style development as much as the scraper is involved. So ideally we're looking at something equally in height but with wide R&D buildings on the ground facade.
  21. A continuous loop would make catching multiple sporting events all the more easier in a single day, all the while grabbing a good bite to eat and finding some extremely cheap parking. This is necessary to prove Cleveland is a connected and not a one way city.
  22. Wow, that's actually pretty cool how they did that. Once one thing gets going i'm very sure taller buildings will follow suit, it's a relatively large 20 year ongoing undisturbed piece of soil.
