Cleveland: Downtown: Progressive Field
I am (shockingly) happy with the blue seats. I initially thought they'd look odd and be too pronounced but they honestly look great. I am still unsure why this decision was made. What was wrong with the existing seats? They were functional, looked great, and served their purpose. Still seems like an unnecessary cost when there are plenty of other areas that will still need attention. Random question. Does anyone know what happens to the old seats? I hope they are repurposed (donated), and not thrown in a landfill.

Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
Do you know what will be installed between the new sidewalk and the street? Trees, grass, planters, asphalt ( :-))?

Completely understandable considering all the moving parts you’re covering on a daily basis!

Any updates on the aforementioned? If yes... any idea of who, where, and when? :)

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
I love all the energy and thought processes for what could be. Yes, freeing this land for lakefront development would/will be amazing. Same for the Burke land... but then what? It's not like we are out of space for development (redevelopment). We have parking lots in the city center. We have vacant buildings in the city center. I'd prefer the focus to continue on building that out and when it's maxed out, the focus moves toward the aforementioned areas. We need a core. We don't need disparate areas that are not connected.

Was hoping the hotel flag would be 21c Museum Hotel - they are truly unique and fun properties. But I'm not worried as NuovoRE is first class and I'm confident will deliver something wonderful!

@KJP- you hinted at some national retailers eyeing downtown for future locations... any updates or hints in regard to location and/or timeframes you can give?

Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
They are in many neighborhoods througout DC. Like @urbanetics_said, they are solid with a sponge-like feeling when you walk on them. It feels very similar to the material that is used in most new playgrounds. I say skip the testing period and implement a large scale rollout.

Maybe it's time for UrbanOhio to start a GoFundMe to get these bridges lit once again! :P

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
The whole public access aspect needs to be tempered just a bit. This will definitely be a Cleveland landmark and transformational project for the city. But we also need to recognize this is a (very) private company and it chose to remain here & build it’s WORLD headquarters. They’re doing this with their own money, (yes, with some government subsidies), but the majority of the money is being provided by themselves. Does that mean they can do whatever? Absolutely not. But this argument of ‘public space’ seems a bit confusing. I mean, what do you want to do in this building besides stand on the pavilion and look at buildings.

Does anyone know if/how the new SHW headquarters project will adhere to downtown’s streetscape design standards (if they exist) and how it will all meld together?
