Where is Home?
Lived on Columbus' far West/South-West Side for most of my life. (Galloway, Hilliard, and Grove City where my parents now reside). Lived the year of 1993 in Athens Georgia. Spent the last five years of my life in Athens, Ohio and I am now in Oxford.

COLUMBUS: Thanksgiving Twilight
Well, I went home for the weekend and--no surprise--I went downtown to take more photos! I hope you enjoy. I took a lot more than I am showing here, these are just the ones that I think look great or good. I took more from Whittier Peninsula, but because of all the construction and junk over there, they just didn't look all that good. If you want to see them still, let me know. These pictures were taken mostly by me but a couple were taken by my cousin. His name is Jon T. Smith and he is a sophmore at a local Columbus Metro Area High School. It was my intention to get to this earlier in the day but it slipped my mind as I lay comotose on the couch after gorging at Thanksgiving. As a result we were running everywhere as fast as we could before we lost the sun. I was rather disapointed as I wasn't able to reach Whittier Peninsula in time to get a good picture of the Miranova Complex and there shadows. Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think. I always love to hear your comments.

Columbus Blue Jackets Discussion
I was acctually hoping that McClean would coach during the interim period of coaches like he did the last time they fired there head coach. They acctually started picking up some wins at that time. All I know is that they need to get there act together. There is no excuse for them being in last place in the league. All the teams that joined the league the same year as the jackets have all fared really well and some have even made it to the playoffs. I've gone to a number of games myself. Maybe eight games. (That's a lot for me because I am not huge on sports). Every game that I have gone to has been a blast, all except for the last one I went to. We played the Avalanche and lost. I can deal with that, a bit. My biggest problem was the lack of a substantial crowd and there lack-luster cheering. We were voted the number one sports fans in the country! The Blue Jackets need to get there act together if they want keep there fans.

Hey David! Looks Awesome, your dawings anyway! I was down there last week to go to the Library. For being a student at Miami, I sure am down there a lot. I had to be there for when Paul? (the guy who designed the DAAP buildig) was there giving a talk. Interesting man. I can relate with your picture there, although, I think your desk is too clean! I've had red bull only once before in my life before comming to Miami, now its the only thing that I drink. Jeremy

Columbus: Downtown Developments and News
I agree that Columbus has plenty of space for building mid-rise residential buildings but I also agree with Brewmaster in that this is far too close to the Urban Core. While reading this, I was imagining a new Dominion, Homewood, M/I, Centex Homes development being plopped right in the middle of Downtown. I don't like that idea. I think we would all agree on that being a bad thing.

Columbus, OH to Los Angeles, CA... roadtrip!!! Part 4
beatiful, just beautiful. How long was the drive? Also, about that Continental Divide Sign, wouldn't it be more accuarate if it said that it emptied into the Gulf of Mexico and not the Atlantic?

Cleveland: TV / Film Industry News
I just finished watchin United 93 earlier. Good movie, but of course, very sad. Doesn't bring back very good memories. According to the movie, I believe it was realized by those on the ground that United 93 was hijacked within Cleveland Airspace. There is a scene or two that takes place in the Cleveland Air Traffic Control Center. I hated watching the movie knowing what would happen in the end, but it was interesting to get an idea of what may have happened. If you buy it or rent it be sure to get the special features. It was interesting to see what the families of the those who died thought about the movie. It was touching too as the actors met the family members of those in whome they portrayed. :*-( Never Forget.

Hey man, thanks for the live video feed. Pretty cool. Too bad they don't use explosives. That would be fun to watch. Is that your own personal cam? If so, is that from your office or home window?

Fun with Photoshop
I am learning how to use photoshop for my Graphics Media Course. I thought I would have some fun and live out my dream of having taller buildings in downtown Columbus. Seriously, I litterally had a dream one night where I went home to columbus to see that they were making some of the signature towers taller. Not in a dream, I read from archives of the Columbus Dispatch that the Rhodes tower was originally planned to be taller but for some unknown reason--unknown to me--it was trunkated. So I am living out the alternate reality on my computer. Hope you enjoy. Also, why don't we go ahead and start putting up photoshoped pictures of our favorite cities.

Columbus in October
These pictures were taken at the begining of October 2006. The sun didn't quite cooperate with me so some pictures didn't quite turn out. Also, not all the pictures were awesome because I was in a hurry and I was trying to get special pictures for an assignment. Enjoy, and as always, compliments--errrr... comments are always welcome!

All Aboard Columbus
Clevelumbus, I have to say that I am really impressed with these photos. It offers an entirely different and fresh perspective of the city skyline. It reminds me of when I was younger, how I would cross the railroad tracks near my home off Norton Rd and look down the line toward the skyline. When I was younger, I was always on the lookout for views of the city skyline. The last one there is pretty amazing, I really like the new view that 670 offers of the skyline. Also, is it me or does that last picture make it look like Columbus is set in the Florida Everglades?
