Maybe it will remain an incomplete hollow shell because funds will run out.
  3. awesome. I took the survey. :-)
  4. So, are they just looking at three city's in Europe (London, Paris, Frankfurt) or were they just using those as examples? If those are the only cities they are looking at, why not look at other cities such as Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney, or Kuwait City? Would a daily international flight really be viable for us as a city? As much as I would like to have at least one, would it be worth it? Would it be used? I'm sure these are all questions that people are already asking. If we do get an international flight, perhaps we should see what international markets are underserved in the United States as a whole and target those underserved regions. We have a large Somali population. How do they get home (provided they do go home seeing as though there is much civil unrest in that part of the world). Let's say they wanted to, how do there flights go? Don't they usually do something like fly to New York, to London, to Ammen Jordan (or maybe even Dubai) and then fly from there to there respective countries? Maybe we could have a direct flight from Columbus to Ammen, Jordan or Dubai.....
  5. Seriously? I thought the area in red was considered to be the priority...the actual part that is two freeways in one.
  6. ya, i wouldn't be too happy living right next to a parking garage...
  7. I always imagine something like this being built at the location of Confluence Park.
  8. I don't think the town street bridge should be realigned. I think the only reason they wanted to realign the bridge was because City Center blocked off Town St. Now that it will be torn down, or maybe not...I guess there is new debate over whether to not it should be torn down. If they tear it down, then Town Street can be reconnected and the bridge will not need to be realigned. I think the pictures say enough for me and I still consider it to be majorly flawed. Turning the axis of the park 90 degrees is a mistake.
  9. No, this new plan is so much worse than the original. To have the park anchored at two ends by blank brick walls is atrocious. They need to stick with the original plan, that works a lot better, especially since it reopens Town Street. It is also very plain and uninspiring. Why do we need another performance pavilion? There is already one being built at Bicentenial Plaza a couple of blocks away. I think this, the newer version, if it were built, would be an epic fail. The original design wasn't the best in my opinion, but it was still a lot better than the revised version.
  10. Can I get a rout to Oxford please? I would love to be able to escape the rigors of my studies for a good night on the town in Cincinnati. :-)
  11. Amen Brother! Keep preaching it!
  12. Columbus is now all photo realistic. You should check it out. It is really cool!
  13. My dad's company does embrodery, we could sell shirts again.... :-)
  14. We should become a Public Action Committee.
  15. I've done this before when I read comments on WCPO and how we are 'wasting taxpayer dollars' on building a transit station or streetcar. It's ridiculous how misguided people are. 'More money needs to be spent to prevent crime'. I'm sorry, but not all the money in the world will prevent crime from happening until people become better at there parenting skills and work together as a community to raise kids the right way.
  16. Where would we sound off about the idea of having the train go into Kentucky to get it noticed by those who have the power to do this?
  17. I so want to work for them some day!
  18. I will be so pissed if Cincinnati passes there amendment to the city charter and we lose out on federal funding for the 3C Rail project. If that happens, maybe we should just by-pass Cincinnati and connect Columbus and Dayton to Covington Kentucky.
  19. I was thinking about putting a hole in the side of the Rhodes Tower facing Pearl Alley earlier today after seeing MSI's website and plan for Pearl Alley when I was listening to Columbus Undergrounds Podcast #26. Thanks again Walker for all that you do. I loved that podcast! I pretty much agreed with everything they had to say and I actually thought a lot about what they had to say. :-)
